I wanted to express my gratitude for reaching out to us and providing us with the opportunity to review your project request. After careful examination, I would like to provide you with an update on the status of your project.
Utility Meter Box Assessment: Upon inspecting your utility meter box, we observed that it is quite old and displays clear signs of rust. It's crucial to inform you that if you had chosen to proceed with the project, the utility company would have faced difficulties swapping out your meter. This situation could potentially have hindered your ability to benefit from the net metering arrangement we discussed earlier.
Documentation Submission: Unfortunately, we encountered a roadblock in the project due to the required paperwork for securing the power capacity you had initially requested. Despite our best efforts and multiple attempts to send you the necessary documents, we did not receive the signed interconnection documents from your end. It is important to note that there was no indication from our end that the requested power capacity couldn't be provided; rather, the progress of your project was hindered solely by the absence of these signed documents.
Progress Costs: In order to advance your project, certain events had to take place, and some of these incurred costs. We were able to arrange an in-person site survey and create engineered drawings, both of which were essential steps in the project's progression. These costs are typically associated with the cancellation of a project because they represent tangible progress. Throughout the course of your project, we reached out with several emails seeking clarification and progress updates. Unfortunately, it wasn't until your project cancellation that we were able to halt these efforts.
I understand that these developments may not be in line with your expectations, and I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions or require further clarification regarding the information provided.
Thank you for considering our services, and I appreciate your understanding of the situation.Review fromDanielle H

1 starThis company is absolutely atrocious at any attempt at responding let alone a resolution. Under the contract my husband signed we were supposed to have 1 year of no electric bill payments upon install and the solar panels going "live" they've now been on since January 2023 and we have been getting a regular electric bill. We have both called numerous times asking why and were told to ignore them it's on Vineland Munipal Utilities end, we'll we now have a shut off notice and Vineland says they have had no communication from anyone about solar anything. We called Sunny Mac and literally can not get a person to figure out what is going on at all. Our shut off date is now 9/12/23 unless we pay almost $600/$2300.00 out of pocket to avoid this. The lady who had us sign the contract won't contact me back on Facebook and after viewing their page we are not the only people having issues. This company has got to be a scam and must correct this situation. I'm not sure if you guys can help us or if we should file some type of civil litigation, but we have 3 teenagers that start school this week and we don't get paid until after the shut off date and we aren't even supposed to be paying anyone anything until December.SunnyMac LLC

1 starPlease do not use this company if you can avoid it. They have strung us along for over one year, and they still have not submitted the correct paperwork to get our solar panels to work. They always blame someone else, and give you the runaround. I have called the agents that were first assigned to us. They specified that we would not be billed by the provider until our panels were installed and functioning, and yet we just received our first bill. I have called Customer service multiple times and they have yet to return my call. There is a supposed pending case to get our final completion paperwork submitted, which Peco has requested from them for 4 months and they state that nothing has been yet submitted. The last time I spoke to customer service, they had me on hold for over 1 hour and hung up on me. I have left several urgent messages for call backs to get this resolved and they still have not contacted me back. All they want is you to sign the contract and get your money without solving any issues. Mind you, we have yet to get our panels up and running and we have to pay the loan already. What kind of company is allowed to do this. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL, I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THEM.SunnyMac LLC

We understand that delays in your project have been a source of frustration, and we want to express our sincerest sympathy for any inconvenience this may have caused you. Your patience and understanding during this time are greatly appreciated.
The delay in your project was primarily due to an unexpected upgrade requirement imposed by the utility company. Unfortunately, this was a situation beyond our control, and we genuinely apologize for any disruption it may have caused in your plans.
We are pleased to inform you that a credit for the billed month of payments affected by this delay had been issued to you on 7/17/23. Additionally, we took the initiative to follow up via email, confirming the issuance of the payment credit to ensure that you were duly informed and compensated as requested.
It's worth noting that permission to operate was granted a mere 10 days after we received the notice from the utility company. We were committed to resolving the situation as swiftly as possible, and we are relieved that the necessary approvals have now been obtained.
We value your business and your satisfaction remains a top priority. If you have any further concerns or require any additional assistance, please do not hesitate to reach out to us. We are here to support you and ensure that the remainder of your project proceeds as smoothly as possible.
Once again, we apologize for any delays and inconvenience you've experienced, and we are committed to providing you with the best service moving forward.Review fromDeronda S

1 starI have been dealing with SunnyMac for almost a year. Our roof was damaged from the hail storm in March of 2022. The solar panels were put on in June of 2022 we have been trying to get the panels removed so that we can get our roof replaced every since. They put solar panels on a hail damaged roof. But they want us to pay them to remove the panels!! That makes no sense, we have leaks in our kitchen, livingroom, and master closet. Sunnova sent some of their workers by over a month ago. They said they can't do anything until they get approval from SunnyMac. A representative from SunnyMac by the name of Megan Coughlin continues to send us a contract to sign almost every other day. At the bottom of the contract it states that if you have questions about the contract to contact the "sender directly". I have sent a couple of emails to Megan Coughlin telling her that we were not going to sign the contract because it says something about $12,000+ to remove and replace the panels and something about it costing $75+ per hour if it extends a certain amount of time to remove and replace the panels. I just want to know, who do they expect to pay that?!? My husband and I are senior citizens and live on a fixed income. They lied about the tax break, they lied about EVERYTHING!!! I also reached out to Mr. Washington, who I had no problem contacting when they were reeling us in, but now he won't respond to phone calls or emails. He was the "main guy" in the beginning but now it's as if him, Megan, and the whole SunnyMac company have forgotten about us. They got what they wanted from us and now our concerns and needs are NOT a factor. These are the most unprofessional people and the most unprofessional company I have ever encountered in my life. And the government or whoever needs to SHUT THEM DOWN ASAP!!! They should not be allowed to continue to swindle innocent people into business with them and then not care what happens since they got what they wanted.SunnyMac LLC

We understand that you've been facing some challenging issues with your roof, and we want to extend our sympathies for the inconvenience and concern this has caused you. Your comfort and satisfaction are of great importance to us, and we are committed to resolving this matter with utmost care and diligence.
It's important to note that the contract for your solar installation is owned by the financing company. Consequently, we are required to adhere to their process and procedures when addressing any issues related to the project. We have taken your concerns seriously and have already dispatched our technicians to assess the situation thoroughly.
The assessment conducted by our technicians has revealed that the leaks are originating from areas of the roof that are not directly associated with the solar installation. We understand that this complicates the situation, as our warranty covers penetrations made during the installation process but not the entire roof structure.
In addition, I will personally follow up with Sunnova to confirm that everything has been taken care of to your satisfaction. We want to ensure that you are completely at ease with the resolution and that you have full confidence in the integrity of your solar system.Review fromkarla k

1 starAbsolutely the worst service I have seen. It took over 6 months from the time the agreement signed to the time they installed. Then they failed inspection 2 times. First for not having the right paperwork, then for installation issue. Then there was 3 month delay between the 2nd and 3rd inspection. Finally the system passed inspection and was turned on at the end of March. It produced electricity for 4 days before the system went down. I complained and it has been 2 weeks, they are still to get me on the calendar to get the issue fixed. Do not do business with this provider.SunnyMac LLC

2 starsOriginal ordering and set up was great June 2022 start up. Jan 25, 2023 Inverter stopped functioning. Tech came in Feb 9th 2023 found the circuit boards had been fried, said he would order new parts but it would take some time to get them. On Feb.22 another tech came in and asked what was wrong (He did not know about first tech's visit). He said boards were shot on the inverter and that they had several units in the warehouse. I called several times to Sunnymac/Sunnova and no one at Sunnymac could tell me when this would be corrected. Email from Lehigh Valley Offices said that someone would be out on March 6, and on March 6th late in the day got a call from Delaware that the tech would now be in on March 7th. On March 7th at about 10 am two techs came in and stated that they were there to replace the inverters and it would take about 1 1/2 hours. I went outside to see how they were doing at 1:45 and they had left with no notice to me as to it's completion. When I went onto the monitoring ap it was still showing that the system was shut down on Feb 22 when the 2nd tech came in, Called the main service number and was told that the original service tag had been closed and a new one was set up and that a tech would be out on Tuesday March 14th to install a new inverter and check the panels.
When the tech arrived on March 7th he said they had the replacement inverter in the truck and I saw them going back and forth with drills and parts. The fact that they left me in the dark as to what's going on is unprofessional to say the least. Having retired from the service industry and communication was paramount factor in maintaining a customer base I am appalled at this kind of service. Solar appears the way to go for the future and service is key, I am very disappointed so far with the sense of urgency and concern this firm has.SunnyMac LLC
