    Appletree Billing and Credentialing has helped me reduce the stress of being a private practice owner. They truly care about helping my business grow. The staff at Appletree is responsive, kind and competent. I can't say enough about how they have improved my billing and credentialing processes. Owning a practice is very stressful and time consuming. They understand that.

    I wish I could give fewer stars. I needed one simple credentialing application. They did not keep me updated, and I only got information once I reached out. It over two months for them to submit an application to a payer, and I found out (after I contacted them) that the payer denied the application two weeks later. Had I not contacted them, who knows how long it would have been until I found out. I'm a solo practitioner and asked for services for one payer. I already had my CAQH and availity accounts set up under other payers, so this should have been an easy project for them. They wasted three months of my time, and I ended up submitting the application myself after they failed to do so. Extremely ineffective; it seems like they are guessing at how to go through the credentialing and contracting process. Save your money and your time, and AVOID this company!!

    We feel very badly that you did not have a positive experience working with us. We would also like to clarify some of the information & timelines that you have provided.
    First, in regard to communication, from August 1st to the time of this review, there have been 33 emails exchanged between you and our team along with 3 video calls in August, September and October.
    Second, the information we had requested at the start was not fully provided until September 13th and only then could we update your Availity and CaQH.
    We attempted to submit the one application on August 18th with what we had, but there were rejections during our application attempts over the next several weeks. These rejections do not happen instantly as it takes time for the payer to receive and process the application. It is not always clear why the payer rejects an application, so our team was troubleshooting the various issues causing the rejections.
    On September 20th, we met you to confirm your CaQH and Availity were set up properly.
    An application was then submitted, and we were notified in the first week of October that there was still a rejection due to an address issue. The issue was you had set up your NPI incorrectly when you changed states, which caused the rejection with the payer. Managing this registration was not part of
    the scope of work you had engaged us for.
    We have not had clients make this NPI registration mistake prior to engaging with them, so admitedly it was not someplace we thought to look. We have learned from this experience as we move forward.
    Despite this being your NPI registration mistake prior to engaging Appletree and not connected to the project you hired us for, we have fully refunded your costs connected to the project.
    We wish you and your practice the best of luck moving forward.
