    I rented from this company for many years but a recent experience indicates they intend to delay and keep requesting different receipts as proof of payment that Hertz charged an additional fee at the airport when checking out the car. I sent them three different Hertz receipts then Rental Cars said I need to send them my bank statement. This company is a SCAM.

    This company are scammers. If you arrive after the reservation time you will find that they have canceled your reservation at the car company and pocketed 100% of your fee. They will refuse any refund. I even did a chargeback with my credit card company and they fought it and had it reversed. STAY AWAY

    Terrible service!
    I have delays on my flight. Couple hours later I called them and they gave the car I payed for to another person. I did not receive any refund. Do not waste your money. There are much better companies to rent cars.

    I rented a car in ******* through rentalcar.com. The car was accidental and not safe to drive. No one helped me out. I call rentalcar during the rent period, they told me you can submit a claim after the rental period is complete. I could not travel with the car as the check engine and maintenance lights were on. The car was also old. I do ot recommend to book through rentalcar

    Rentalcars. Com advertised a dealer choice low rate. When I picked up the car at the airport, Dollar said I had to take an EV car. If I wanted a gas car it was an up charge. I had to accept this up charge to get a vehicle I could drive in the mountains with no EV charging stations.

    I rented a car in ******* **** ******* through Rentalcars.com. They confirmed a low rate and that was it. My flight was late on that day and I attempted to cancel the reservation and they received the cancellation. When I arrived in ******* **** I contacted them and was informed that the rental charge was double what was quoted - so I did not pick up the car as this was clearly a bait-and-switch operation. Three days later they said they could not cancel the reservation and were billing me for the entire week. I have since disputed this transaction with my credit card company. Do not do business with this company - they are not reputable and indulge in a bait-and-switch operation

    This company has STOLEN $466 from me. I paid in advance, and when I got to the ***** counter I upgraded to a different vehicle - for which I paid separately. But the refund for the first vehicle was never received! I disputed the charge with my credit card company, but they tell me that rentalcars.com claims that they did provide the vehicle. They obviously have no proof or receipts, because they never provided the car! Trying to contact them is a joke - their website constantly has errors, you cannot talk to a human through their phone number. A TOTAL SCAM! I will continue to spread the word, as well as file complaints with every website possible.

    3 hour wait at *** **** Airport due to ****** ****** having no cars* ****** stated it is due to RentalCars.com overbooked without checking inventory.
    Tried to speak to a Rentalcars.com manager or supervisor but no one came to the phone. Stated it is their policy not to have them speak on the phone.
    Asked how to file a complaint, stated I had to wait until the rental was completed. There is no way to submit a complaint immediately.
    Gave no compensation for the 3 hour delay.
    I will never use Rentalcars.com again or Priceline.com which according to ****** is the same.

    Absolutely trash company. For the love of god I don’t care what “discounts” they offer book directly through the company.
