    I had a relatively good experience with Dan Perkins, from car buying, financing, and the service of our new ******. I have an issue with the extended maintenance plan that cost us over $900 for three years. The first two years went by without incident and we obtained service as required (my last service date being in September of 2022). I wouldn't require service for another 6 months and we were moving by October. I called Dan Perkins regarding my maintenance and whether it traveled with me, the person on the phone told me it did. Flash forward six months to me trying to obtain maintenance out of the state of **- my plan was only valid at Dan Perkins. The maintenance company said I could cancel my plan with the dealership. It took weeks to get a response regarding my plan and when I did, they were only refunding me $118. If I had canceled in October, it would have been over $300. Dan Perkins is claiming that they cannot do anything to assist and even though I have a year left on my maintenance plan, once it was canceled, I was only given 1/9 of the price back.

    I wish I could leave negative stars. I’m the person who overtips at restaurants (usually minimum 30%) , and I know the impact of reviews so I give most business the benefit of the doubt especially with supply issues, etc. so when I leave a negative review, beware. This business is TERRIBLE. I’ve had the misfortune of dealing with them for just under a year. I purchased a 2 year old used car, and noted horrible grinding noises. I drove the car about 3 times (20 minutes at a time) and returned to the dealer about a week later to investigate the noise. I received a smarta** response from service asking if I “drove with two feet.” (Mind you the wear and tear is only on ONE SIDE of the vehicle). I am then told the rotors were ground down before selling me the car. I get the rotors “replaced” (which they admitted later were just ground down again). I go back, they finally replace the rotors albeit not without a fight. Fast forward to now, I had my car in the garage for about a month for a computer issue during which they test drove the car MULTIPLE times (for diagnostic purposes). No problem noted with the brakes. I receive the car back and call to schedule brake service, to which I am told the brakes are fine and no issues were noted. Fast forward to a few days ago I hear HORRIBLE grinding noises from the right front tire well when braking even lightly, and when turning left. It gets worse over several days. Now they want me to pay for rotors despite me doing my due diligence several weeks ago to avoid rotor damage. This dealership is a scam artist, especially if you are a first responder or essential employee like myself, or elderly or in need of your vehicle to work properly. Do NOT buy from this dealership, do NOT have your vehicle serviced here. You will be scammed and you will regret it.
