I had a relatively good experience with Dan Perkins, from car buying, financing, and the service of our new ******. I have an issue with the extended maintenance plan that cost us over $900 for three years. The first two years went by without incident and we obtained service as required (my last service date being in September of 2022). I wouldn't require service for another 6 months and we were moving by October. I called Dan Perkins regarding my maintenance and whether it traveled with me, the person on the phone told me it did. Flash forward six months to me trying to obtain maintenance out of the state of **- my plan was only valid at Dan Perkins. The maintenance company said I could cancel my plan with the dealership. It took weeks to get a response regarding my plan and when I did, they were only refunding me $118. If I had canceled in October, it would have been over $300. Dan Perkins is claiming that they cannot do anything to assist and even though I have a year left on my maintenance plan, once it was canceled, I was only given 1/9 of the price back.Customer response

Date of Transaction - June 1, 2022 Amount paid $1678.30 The business provided a specific and limited number of car repairs. Nature of dispute: The service center provided a written estimate for the repairs of $1,100.00. As a later add on, I agreed to an additional repair of a hood latch. The estimate for the hood latch replacement which included parts and labor was and additional $250.00. I attempted to resolve the dispute with the mechanic Dave O****. He refused to honor the written estimate for the repairs. VIN number of automobile ***************** Please note the reference to the estimate of repair $1,100 on the bottom of the photos of the bill (A and B)Business response

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.The issue was resolved with them giving me a full refund.
