In my opinion when a company charges a late fee on a debit charge when you’ve changed the bank source and then won’t pay you the depreciation check they owe you on your last claim, in my opinion feels they are a entitlement program instead of an insurance company. They in my opinion, view their customers as beggars and no longer run their company as a business.

These people do not know what they are doing between AAA AND TRAVELERS. Just one of the problems I have is, I cancelled my rental policy and foolishly paid the current amount do, My bank card had been falsely used and I had to get a new card. I didn't get to change the card on my Travelers acct before payment was drawn and it was refused because of the old card. I called to say what happened and they said I couldn't do automatic payments until January because of what happened with the payment. They told me I didn't owe anything until August and I said what about July, they told me I was current which I wasn't because of my card. This was AAA telling me this. She said I owed $34.00, when my payments are 19.99. I questioned my July payments and she said I was up to date and owed 34.00 in August. I questioned amount and wanted to know why I didn't still owe July. She called Travelers and the girl said I owed 19.99 and explained that I couldn't do automatic payment. I told them I have had it with all the problems since I joined this company and want my rental policy, not my auto policy cancelled today which was 7/9/25. I called to check on my cancellation and I was told it was not cancelled!!!!! They did absolutely nothing!!! I was told my the gentleman I spoke with that he would cancel it and cancel it on 7/9/25 as I had requested. I was told I would get $15.and change. I looked at my bank account yesterday 7/29/25 and its only $11.32! When I talked to the gentleman today, he said I should get $16.32, then told me he needs to speak with other dept. and they would review it and send me an email. New customer, I got 16 emails!!!! They transposed my checking acct numbers and it caused them to stop automatic payts and as PUNISHMENT I had to wait 6 months before I could get auto. payts. I tried to make a payt for current month, she said I didn't owe anything which I did and said the next month I owe 34.00!?!?! There is so much I could type here about mistakes they made.

      Travelers Ins. , haha,
Terrible, terrible Ins. Co. !!! (needed for our mortgage, we had not picked them, just to make a note).
We've never, in 16 years (the whole time we've had them, our first house from the start), have never filed a claim.
15 years later, last year, we were advised that an inspection of the property would be examined, which was expected , no problem.
We were given an issue concerning a decorative vine we had, routinely, taken care of around our house.
They were so vague about what was expected, we gave them a call. Not only was there a long wait time but, long story short...found out that there were other issues. So we complied , giving them photo after photo per request (including photos of before and after our video e removal).
      Nothing.
So, so many e-mails (copies of pictures) and calls to them and still nothing.
One time they said they received our pictures. Still absolutely "could not" get a further response.
So many calls to them, both via phone and email....nothing.
Our mortgage company gave us more insight as to what was going on. Apparently they dropped us.
Luckily, we found a better company. Ironically, the agent we spoke to stated she left Travelers because they treated their staff terrible and their clientele just as bad. They ignored.
Did a bit of research...I don't "care" that they've been around since 1853.
      Many big-wigs have been worth over a billion $'s. B.S. !!!!
      (www.Wikipedia.org, The Travelers Home and Marine Company, *** ***** *** *****)
Tired of being stomped on by these a.holes.

What an absolute nightmare this has been. DO NOT I repeat DO NOT work with Travelers for Workers Comp. I discovered when I went to renew my policy that it was going to be $60k a year, for 13 employees. When I called they said “We have it here that you have 32 employees and your payroll is $1M.” I almost fell off my chair. How does a major company who has access to my payroll reports have these numbers wrong?! After many run-around phone calls (Get ready, grab a coffee because everyone you speak to will say this is not their department), I realized they owed me $12k because (and they blamed ADP whom is also responsible) tips were being included and that’s not usually included in the wage audit. Had I never asked to investigate this: I WOULD HAVE NEVER KNOWN - Even after doing that pesky audit we are all required to do - THIS WAS NOT CAUGHT? Now I am fighting tooth and nail from an audit for 2024-2025 and of course I cancelled my policy and no one wants to help me. How dare you take advantage of small businesses finances and trust. I almost closed my doors! This money that was mine could have helped us a lot.
I finally got billing to stop being lazy and call ADP and the check is being mailed to me, but now I am trying to dispute 2024-2025 with no such luck.
      So so angry. Booooo Travelers!

      Extremely Disappointed with Travelers Insurance
My experience with Travelers Insurance has been deeply frustrating and disappointing. Throughout the entire claims process, I encountered a lack of professionalism, responsiveness, and transparency. Communication was consistently poor, calls and emails were often ignored, and timely updates were virtually nonexistent.
What was most concerning was the apparent bias in their investigation. It felt as though there was little to no effort to conduct a fair or thorough review of the situation. Their handling of the matter came across as one sided and dismissive, which undermined any sense of trust or reliability.
I expected a higher standard of service from a major insurance provider. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I would not feel comfortable recommending Travelers Insurance to others. It is critical for an insurance company to not only protect its own interests but to also treat all parties involved with fairness, respect, and due diligence and in this case, that standard was simply not met.

I've had Traveler's Ins for years; e.g. home and auto and I have been pleased for most of those years, However, a couple of years ago, they up and canceled a home policy with no reason. I have excellent credit and I've always paid my premiums on time. When I inquired, no reason was given and they didn't seem to really care.
I have moved all my policies to another insurance company except auto and I'm getting ready to move it. It seems each time I call, the person I am speaking with does not speak good English and will ask me to the same question 2-3 times. I don't mind working with people where English is not their first language, however, when you ask a customer a question, why not listen the first time? Customer service has went down hill fast the past 2 years. There are plenty of insurance companies that have good rate and better customer service. I suggest you shop around before settling on Traveler's.

I would give a zero if I could. No coverage on anything! Terrible communication and make you wait. These ratings are so bad. How can this company still be going. They cause so much stress.

with Travelers Insurance's handling of my recent claim. As a disabled veteran and loyal customer, I've paid hundreds of dollars in premiums every month, but when I had my first claim, parts of it were denied.
After a low-impact accident, my truck's tailgate, tonneau cover, and cargo divider were damaged. The repair shop recommended by Travelers confirmed the damage, but the insurance company denied replacing the tonneau cover and cargo divider, despite photo evidence and the shop's evaluation. It's unacceptable that they questioned my honesty, especially given my background as a Navy veteran and current aircraft inspector.
The $30 daily car rental allowance was woefully inadequate, leaving me to cover the difference out of pocket. I'm canceling my policy effective immediately and will be sharing my negative experience with others to warn them about the potential pitfalls of dealing with Travelers Insurance.
Lost a loyal customer over less than $2000. Unbelievable. Avoid Travelers Insurance at all costs.

      1. I received a Notice on Nonrenewal for my Home policy. Rationale: "insured property is located in a high brush exposure area". This is not true. My home is in ZIP *****, which is "not in a zone" according to the the ***** Fire Department chief, and per the State of ** Fire Hazard Severity Area map. I have lived here 40 years, with no fires in any of those years. I live in a private community with manicured lawns and groomed trees. There is no brush in area. There is a fire hydrant across the street from my house.
      2. To add insult to injustice, the underwriters said prior efforts to non-renew were not related to fire hazard = a lie - I still have their letters and my rebuttals. Furthermore, the underwriters say I am indeed in a high brush exposure area. They either did not look at the maps, or they lied to me.
      3. Finally, if Travelers wishes to not insure homes in *********** just say you will no longer insure homes in California. It lacks integrity to lie to your customers. I will be moving all of my policies to another insurance provider.
