Superlative statements in advertisements about the tangible qualities and performance values of a product or service are objective claims for which the advertiser must possess substantiation as they can be based upon accepted standards or tests. As statements of fact, such claims can be proved or disproved. The business did not respond to BBB or modify its claims.
Its website states "Our inflatable rentals and party supply rentals are top of the line equipment that we guarantee to be clean and in perfect working order." According to the BBB Code of Advertising, when using the term guarantee the advertiser must clearly and conspicuously include a statement that the complete details can be seen prior to sale. These details must disclose any material limitations on the guarantee. The business did not respond to BBB's request that it add the terms of its guarantee to its advertising.
In September 2024 contacted the business regarding its use of the logo for SIOTO (Safe Inflatable Operators Training Organization). The primary responsibility for truthful and non-deceptive advertising rests with the advertiser. Advertisers should be prepared to substantiate any objective claims or offers made before publication or broadcast. Upon request, they should present such substantiation promptly to the advertising medium or BBB. BBB has been unable to verify current membership for the business in SIOTO and requested that the business provide substantiation for its use of this logo. The business did not provide written verification of membership for any staff members.
