I purchased a 17 Ford explorer from PARK CITY FORD in 2020. Lucky to not be completly broke, i purchased an extended warranty from allstate insurance . I bought the car to use for work to do service calls in my hvac bussiness. The car has remote start and heated seats which is great for me as i do spend time every day in this vehicle. About a week into owning the car the seats didnt work, they repaired them without issue. A short time later the dash wasnt working and froze, they did fix it at a cost to me. The car then had just about everything fail. Park city is the only place i took my car. They have repaired the transmission multiple times, thecar would knock when going over bumps, the service writer tells me the sway arm bushings are bad. AFTER talking to another transmission shop, they explained that those bushings went bad because of taking the sway arm off multiple times for the transmission. oct 2023 they did a flex plate, starter and filed the crank. Next day had an oil leak at the rear main. Dropped it back off to have a rear main seal and some kit installed. 2 days later i had a worse leak then the. Prior one. Now i need an engine. 6 months of them having my car the motor is in the vehicle. (March) after 1 day of driving and turning the heat on i smell burning oil. I bring the car to a shop to diagnose whats wrong, i was told its leaking oil from the engine, it has axel grease all over front drivers tire, has an exaust leak and its leaking from the rear differential. The car still was knocking when hitting bumps. Back to dealer. Now park city says they checked the car out and are waiting for approval from the insurance company. I asked how so many things can go wrong with a car after two days. Now after all that they added 4000 dollars more to the 9400 for the motor if i didnt have allstate i would be broke and in debt. Out of three years of having the car they have had it in the shop close to a full year

Dear *** *****  We share your frustration with the repairs to your vehicle. Our hands are frequently tied by the insurance companies. (your warranty company), like all insurance companies, they will try and save a penny any way they can. If they had gone with our initial suggestion and estimate your vehicle would have been fixed before the multi repairs the made us do first. i do know the service department has tried everything they could do to help you including putting you a substitute transportation at zero cost to you. A rental today cost between $50-75 dollars a day, so that is a good savings . Owning a vehicle with over 100,000 miles is a crap shoot. We have hundreds of clients with vehicles with over 100,000 miles, some in excess of 300,000 miles without a lot of expense. There is no crystal ball to help us determine when a vehicle may have major mechanical problems, many of our clients lease a new vehicle every 3 yrs to kinda take out the possibility of a breakdown. I hope this not helps you understand all that we do on a daily basis
