I was Targeted because of my age. I had a plumbing problem, they asked for 1600.00 to fix it. I paid it. They saw 2 elderly women here, one on oxygen. Then a few minutes later they wanted another 5000.00. to continue working on my issue. When I said that I didn't have it. They packed up and left. leaving me with a huge hole in my basement and half a wall torn down. They left the wood outside and it got rained on before i found it outside. They told us we had to poop in a bag and throw it away. laughing at us, as they left saying it would be like camping. It took me over 2 weeks to get even a invoice from them. It says that they attempted to to fix it but couldn't. I have called and text multiple times. They just kept repeating that They would not give me a refund. Then they just hung up on me. This has been going on now for over a month of trying to work with them. Sandy Hansen

Hello ******* we in no way took advantage of you ... you signed and agreed and were fully made aware of what needed to be done at your house. We sent plumbers to your home to fix your issue with your drains which ended up being a bigger repair than anticipated due to the scope of what needed to be done. You were unable to secure the funding needed to make the necessary repairs determined by our plumbers. Our plumbers also never made any derogatory comments about were you needed to use the restroom. We also gave you a partial refund as a good will gesture. We have to pay for our plumbers time on site who spent a lot of time on site fixing your service issue. The drainage in your home is very old and these are the types of issues that come up over time.

I gave them a $4,000 deposit for a job I subsequently had to cancel due to necessary unanticipated expenses which I incurred. They assured me that my deposit would be refunded but I have received nothing. I've made numerous calls asking to speak to a manager and they always tell you they're not available and will return my call but they never do. They never did any work for us!

The company refuses to close out permits after multiple phone calls. I have been told multiple times that they would call me back to discuss the matter and still haven’t received a phone call

Thank you for reaching out. I want to take a moment to provide a clear timeline of events regarding your project:
November 18th: We visited your property to assess the situation and provided you with options to proceed with the work.
November 19th: We began and successfully completed the work as discussed.
November 20th: We filed the permit necessary for the work.
November 27th: We received authorization to pay for the permit.
At this stage, we are awaiting an inspection date to review the work. While we are committed to handling everything as efficiently as possible, certain steps—such as inspection scheduling—are managed by external entities and are beyond our control.
We understand that delays can be frustrating, and we are doing everything within our power to move the process along swiftly. If you have any additional concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact us directly.
Thank you for your patience and understanding.

They charged me $288 for a diagnostic but never fixed the boiler, Sylvester the manager doesnt want to give me a refund at all. They diagnosed it monday (faulty pressure sensor) but said the part will come in friday meanwhile the hot water is off to the apartment, i looked up the part myself and was able to get it delivered the next day (tuesday). I installed the part because i needed hot water and couldnt wait almost a week. (Im a plumber myself in *** but its a 2 1/2 hour drive for me to go to this house in CT so thats why i hired someone) I replaced the part in 10 minutes which they wanted to charge me $650 to install but that never fixed the problem. They say they fixed 1 problem but there must be another problem that they cant seem to find, meanwhile my boiler is acting the same exact way after they “fixed one problem”. They sent 3-4 guys to try to fix it but couldnt find the problem at all, i hired another boiler company and they found the problem, went to buy the part and fixed it same day in 3 hours. The problem had nothing to do with the pressure sensor. They diagnosed and found the real problem with it right away which this company couldnt find with 3-4 technicians. The manager Sylvester is very rude and told me i wont be getting a refund.

So after allot of back and forth, Felix tried to be decent and offer us a slight refund. I feel that he tried his best to fix the situation
Again as stated I did signed the contract
My suggestion is that this company provides a better explanation of the job.
The technician did do a good job.

I recently had a water emergency at my home and called Benjamin Franklin Plumbing to help. Although the first technician was prompt to come to my home and was polite / easy to talk with, he was slow and vague with his diagnosis. I felt I was being groomed to expect many unforeseen expenses. The Technician left me the first day with the impression that I had major issues and crew would come over the following day to further diagnose and fix. NOTE: Before any work was completed, Benjamen Franklin had me apply for a loan through ******** in the amount of $6000.00. I was led to believe the amount granted would have covered anything that was needed to have running water in my home again, but that was not the case. The technician did explain about the diagnosis fee of $109.00 but it showed on my bill as a Service Charge and another charge for $267.00 appeared as a DIAGNOSE charge but removed after spending $6845.00. The total Charges were $2791.00 to replace pump w/o wire ½ hp after pull. $900.00 to replace the wire. $1877.00 for a LAKOS Sand Separator and $1168.00 to Pull & Drop pipe in the well. They use the entire loan amount and another $845.00 which I put on a credit card. I feel I was over charged and takin advantage of during the stress of being out of water.
