At the end of July 2023 I left various items of jewelry with *** to be repaired or resized, included with this jewelry was an antique ruby **** that was over ******************************************************************************** 1994. I was given a claim ticket with a promise date for pickup of 8/11/2023. *** called me to let me know my items were ready for pickup, My sister who I was getting that particular **** sized for picked the items up for me, when *** gave her the jewelry that **** was not there. He said he would find it and contact us, he has never made any attempt on his own to do so. We have contacted him and the only response we receive is its here somewhere, Ill find it and Ill let you know. A third party has attempted to talk to him about the **** as well, gave her the same response its here somewhere also denying its age while admitting it was an antique. I have yet to hear anything from him or be offered any resolution regarding the ****, although no amount of money would make up for the emotional harm caused by the loss of this **** as it was a family heirloom. This has caused emotional distress for my sister who was very careful with the ****, never wore it unless on a chain to keep it safe and for me because I was the one who took it to be sized wanting her to have the opportunity to wear it. I have yet to decide if criminal charges will be filed as I dont know if they can be.
