After 40 years of membership it's time to move on. I requested tow service @1:34 pm with the identifying information of the vehicle and was text. I would be contacted shortly. Text said driver was in queue @2:08pm, no driver responded. Called back @2:47pm and AAA told me they were unable to contact the company. They said they would dispatch another driver. Driver arrived around 5pm but was not equipped to tow this vehicle and would dispatch the correct truck. In the background AAA sends me a voice message that its a commercial vehicle and would not tow it. **** also failed to disconnect from me and also recorded the conversation with tow driver. I called and was told I quote " its a box truck without the box" I said its a flatbed and she said flatbeds are commercial vehicles and are not covered. This vehicle is a classic truck with collector plates. I gave them the description of the truck @ 1:34pm and @5:05pm was given the updated info that I have been paying for services that were not even available to me per the dispatcher.I called to cancel my membership and was told i would need to be transferred to facilitate my request. The *** that answered after transfer took all my information and then said my "sup" has to do it and thus begins my time on terminal hold. I call back again the next day and was again told that they couldn't accommodate my request and would need to call back. I had always believed AAA was a quality organization with top of the line customer service as it had in the past. My vision has now changed about their customer service, quality of service and expediency has greatly declined so much that it has no benefit to me and will cancel my 40yr loyalty if they ever answer the phone. By the way much better coverage is available at 1/2 the price from other providers.

I put in a roadside request due a dead battery. Two hours later I got an automated call that I was in the queue. Three hours after that; the same automated call. A live person never called and nobody came. The next morning I got a message asking if I still needed service....

On about march 9, 2024 I contacted AAA about the constant mailings I receive from them. I spoke to a female and requested my name be removed from their mailing list because I am not interested in being a member of AAA. She told me she would remove my name and that it would take a few weeks before the mailings would stop.On April 1, 2024 I received a bill from AAA for $79.50 for my membership. I never signed up for a membership and never gave verbal or written consent to open a membership account.Again the only contact I have had with AAA was to have my name removed from their mailing lists. I believe they are targeting me, a senior citizen thinking I would just pay the bill. There is also a note on the bill that says the account is past due. That sounds like a scare tactic to me. I don't know if this fits the statutory requirements for a fraud but it seems like fraud to me.

We accidentally locked our keys in the car and we had 3 dogs inside the car. It was an extremely cold night so we were worried about the pups! We called AAA and explained our situation and they sent Al to help us. He arrived rather quickly and unlocked the door in about 30 seconds, which was awesome! ** was extremely nice and very courteous and did his job very well. We will ask for him if we ever need help again. He is definitely a wonderful locksmith. Thank you so much again! Sincerely.****************

This company is literally a joke. I'm not even sure how they are still in business. At this point they are just stealing people's money. You can get a tow truck fast or paying out-of-pocket rather than going through this service. Anyone who was still paying for their service to cancel membership immediately. It's not worth the price at all. It's not worth the time or the headache. They're customer service agents nor dispatch know o what they're doing the whole company is just a joke

AAA Has the WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE on this planet!!!As a member of 50 years, this company has continued to go downhill and has become just another robotic, cold, HORRIBBLE company to deal with. There is nobody to talk with, you wait on hold for hours at a time. Recording after recording telling you to WAIT. Arrogant, cocky employees that do not want to help, cannot help, and its literally impossible to talk to anyone in management. How can a company be allowed to operate with such control over their own members?? This is what we pay for?DO NOT JOIN AAA... THIS COMPANY IS THE BIGGEST RIP OFF IN TOWN.

New people are not helpful at all. You go into an AAA branch. Short staffed. No customers. After they took out stores in branches. People dont trickle in any more. Theres no draw. Business is way down. No body knows what their doing anymore. Including the executive staff. On line store is for East coast only certain states. AAA is national. Thats discrimination!!!!!!!!!!!!

AAA Roadside assistance is non existent. This pass summer I waited 6 hours fora tow truck to pick up my *********************************************************************** the past and they had not heard from AAA. They ended up rescuing me and I had to pay $175 to be towed 4 miles. I have yet to be reimbursed.Today, i got locked out of my garage and I was told I would have to make my own arrangements and they would reimburse me; I asked them to give me a reference for a lock ***** and they do not have anyone to recommend.I will not be renewing my membership after 30 years.

We were driving to see my family for Christmas yesterday (Dec. 22) when our car broke down (probably our alternator). AAA charged us $313.00 to tow our car to a shop in ******, Colorado that they told ** would be open today, Dec. 23, and to drop our key in the key drop there. Now it turns out the shop isnt open and were trapped in a hotel in ****** until they reopen the shop. AAA refuses to refund the tow, to pay for the hotel, or to do anything to rectify the situation. They wont send a locksmith to open the car so we can get the rest of our stuff out of it because the car is on a closed loteven though the car is sitting out in the open in front of the shop, right where their tow truck left it. They wont contact the shop to let us get our key out of the drop, so we cant take it to another shop or get our stuff. The whole purpose of their company is to help people in our situation; instead, they have cost us a huge amount of money for nothing, have ruined our Christmas, and refuse to so much as take accountability for what theyve done. Despicable behavior from this company, nothing more, nothing less.

Multimillion $$$corporation doesn't accept responsibility when they are at fault. A call placed at 10:40 p.m. led to a call back at 11:16 p.m. stating assistance was in route and was 15 to 20 minutes away. No help after an hour, then 2, then 3. Despite all of my call backs, I was continuously fed the script of a call back and am I in a safe location. I was tossed to and fro by one associate after another within this 4 hour nightmare. I even had one transfer me to a ************ office to just a regulare intake operator, to try to get rid of me. The ****** employee had to transfer me back. I called several times to speak with ANY SUPERVISOR. I was told there are NO SUPERVISORS AVAILABLE. Being locked out of the vehicle may have been my fault initially, but I pay for AAA service with purpose. So in case of this kind of situation I would have help I trusted and needed and that I would be covered. AAA agents in this case had no compassion for the situation I was in, not in any way shape or form. They kept assuring me that they would escalate the call and a supervisor would call me back. Those were lies. A supervisor hasn't called me back to this minute. 8:46 A.M. after almost 4 hours I ended up calling a tow truck company that arrived in about 17 minutes, opened the door within 2 minutes, but charged me $160 . My car was running the entire time I waited for help and I could not believe the nonchalant attitude they took after the four hour wait and lies inbetween. In my opinion it was an EPIC FAIL THAT IS TRUTHFULLY DESERVING OF NO STARS. AS A MULTIMILLION DOLLAR CORPORATION, I GUESS THEY CAN FULLY AFFORD TO LET SOME FALL BY THE WAYSIDE...AND THAT'S EXACTLY WHAT THEY DID. I AM STILL AMONG THE LIVING AND PRAISE GOD FOR THE FRIEND THAT CAME THROUGH TO MAKE SURE I DIDN'T FREEZE TO DEATH, BUT IF IT WERE LEFT UP TO AAA, I WOULD BE STANDING IN FRONT OF MY MAKER, FROZEN TO DEATH WHILE WAITING FOR HELP THAT DIDN'T GIVE A R.I.P ABOUT ME.BOOOO!
