  I gave Freedom Star Home Improvements a check for $2750 for storm doors. I was told it would take about a month for the doors to be ordered and delivered then installed. After about two months I called but they did not answer and would not call me back. I finally went to confront them at their office and was told they were scheduled to install the doors October 6th, six months after they had promised. October sixth came and went, and still no doors. They would not answer the phone and they would not call me back. I tried to confront them at their office but no one is ever there. I went to try again on October 26th and there was a sign on their door that said the business was seized for non payment of taxes. This company has the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I know many other people have been victimized by this company and they need to be held accountable. How these people sleep at night is beyond me.

  Placed an order for a new bay window in October of 2022 and gave them a $5000.00 deposit. I called about March 2023 to see if the window was in. My contact said she would have to check and call me back. No call. I kept calling every few weeks and got the same go around. Last time I called was **** I developed a medical issue after that and didn't call back until September. No response so I went to the ************** office and it was closed "due to illness". I knew then they were gone and I lost my money. My window has been cracked for about 7 years and there is so much mold growing in-between the two panes, you can't see out. I finally got some money to replace it and with the loss of the $5000.00, I don't have enough now to have someone else do the job. The year before this company replaced my roof and put a window in my bathroom. There were a few minor issues, but they did a good job. This spring I had a leak in the roof around the swamp cooler electrical box and they came right out and fixed it. My neighbor had them replace his roof this spring. They have been in ************** for 15 years and looked to be a well established company. I was shocked to see they had shut down and seem to be gone (with my money!). I gave them one star as there is no "0" stars.

  I purchased 3 windows August 2021. $5,200. March 20, 2023 I noticed that 1 window had a broken glass. Made appt for them to come out and check. No show or call. Rescheduled 3/29/23 same thing no show. I called and they finally sent ******* out later in day. He said that it would be 6-8 weeks. They gave me a Lifetime Craftmanship Warranty. I had ask ******* for something in writing regarding the replacement window. I received nothing. Called 5/10 to see what the status was. Got nothing but a run around with some female just saying she was sorry. I asked if it had been order, no response. I asked for the owners phone # would not give to me. They now have a sign on store location door by appt. only. They get a ZERO rating. Do not use this company.

  Don't use freedom star construction. They are not a reliable construction company. They take people's money and never provide the service. They use the excuse of not being able to obtain the materials needed . Then they will not return your down payment. No stars as they don't deseerve it .

  DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!I believe they are a scam! My elderly father, has been waiting for a new shower for OVER A YEAR! He gave a deposit to start the job in January of 2022. He has called at least 2x a month for a year now and gets the run around every single time. Either he gets the excuse that the material isnt in or he never gets a call back. He asked for a refund, they denied him the refund. They said the contract states that the job would be done in a reasonable amount of time! REALLY? Since when is 12+ months reasonable. When I called, to speak to the owner, I too, was given the runaround and never got a call back. So I have reported the incident to the police as I believe my father has been scammed by this company.

  Thank you for bringing this to our attention, I have reviewed your fathers file and we have given updates when available. We spoke to him four times already this month and have answered every time he has called in according to our call logs. The building industry has had some challenges around availability of products, covid shut downs and employee shortages. We are doing our best to fulfill our backlog of customers. This has been moved to a urgent request and we will do everything in our power to get the shower completed as soon as we can.
