      I scheduled a service for July 24th to replace two toilets, one was leaking. The technician said both toilets had cracks but only the one in the basement needed replacing & it would be approx $1300. He removed the toilet & determined he would have to trim the lip of the water/sewage line in order for it sit flush, but he didn't want to do it that day. He quoted me another price of approx $2400 for the additional work. He informed me he couldn't come back the following day, & was unclear as to when he could return. He stuffed the sewage hole with paper, placed a small wax box on top neglecting to seal it, then walked off. The following day the entire basement stunk, the fumes caused our eyes, nose, ************* to burn. It permeated everything in the basement, including walls, bedding, ******************** I tried calling the 25th to get help to seal it properly. I had to leave several messages with the receptionist over the next few of days explaining the situation & expressed my increasing frustrations. She kept saying the manager would have to resolve this issue. At this point I felt like I was being ignored. Finally, after leaving another message on the 28th, the client relations manager returned my call & took my complaint. I asked them to come pick up their toilet, because I had a different company complete the job as the stench was overwhelming. She said she would have someone pick it up. I had to call her back again on July 31st because the toilet had been sitting in my bedroom since the 24th. I didn't hear back from them until August 1. They were going to have the same technician who quoted astronomical fees, left the sewage hole open & provided subpar service to pick it up that day. I said I didn't want him in my house because I felt he did this intentionally & they would need to send someone else which they did. I & the man I'm a caretaker for are both in our 70's. This has caused health issues because of the ************** Their poor service concerns me.

      I've used Allen Service multiple times in the last 6 months. I thought they were a reputable company. I even signed up for their membership program. After recent issues with my A/C, and speaking to multiple people about their experiences with Allen Service, I've discovered that they overcharge compared to other local companies and are also dishonest.I was in ****** when my A/C started having issues. I was told that the unit had multiple refrigerant leaks and oil leaks. It would cost about $3000 to do a UV dye test to find the refrigerant leaks and to repair the oil leaks. It would be an additional $1900-$4500 to repair the refrigerant leaks. I was also having issues with the heat exchanger that would eventually need to be replaced for up to $3100. Since the unit was 16 years old, I was encouraged to schedule a call to discuss replacing the unit. Oh and lastly that since the ** and furnace were both old, that I would save money overall by replacing both of them at the same time. I was surprised to say the least since Allen had inspected my A/C about two months earlier and remarked how well it was functioning for how old it was. It was literally the worst sounded sales call I've ever received, sounded like the technician was reading from a script. My friends doubted the advice I was given and encouraged me to get a second opinion. I'm so glad I did! My A/C is now working with just a txv (thermal expansion valve) replacement, only costing me $875. This wasn't even listed on the Allen Service invoice!I've emailed my complaints to Allen Service and requested they cancel my membership. It's now been three days without a word from them. I've heard through the grapevine that Allen Service used to be great years ago when the father was running the business, but now the son running the business is only focused on sales, sales, sales. I would steer clear of utilizing their services, or at the least get a second opinion.

      Allen service is always an amazing service! They are prompt, send reminders and seem to consistently go above and beyond in explaining why, what and how they are doing things. We love their subscription and would recommend them to anyone.

      Highly recommend this company. We had two service technicians ***** and *****. They were personable and knowledgeable about our system. They went right to work, diagnosed the problem and soon had it solved. They answered my question, explained to me what and how they were going to solve our problem. Just wanted to say how much we appreciated the quality customer ********************** that ***** and ***** demonstrated. Also my wife appreciated the shoe coverings to protect our floors.

      Allen Service wanted to charge $620 to replace our garbage disposal with a unit - like the one currently installed - that we had already purchased. The technician knew the price when he walked in the door, and when he told us what it was, we said no way! He then charged us $89 for the service call.I called Allen Service as I was frustrated that they would not give ** any sort of estimate by phone and basically charged $89 to come to our door to say the ridiculously high price they would charge. The technician knew the price before he walked in the door, so why couldn't we have been told it as well, even if it was stated as an estimate? Had they told us in advance, I would have said don't bother coming - not at $620 for less than 2 hours work and us providing the disposal.

      ***** came in and did the full electrical inspection of my house (40+ years old with many original breaker boxes, etc), and I really appreciate his options in various levels of discussing safety and fixes so I can budget and prioritize moving forward.
