My initial experience at Cyclebar was great- the instructors/classes were awesome and I was immediately hooked. After a few classes the GM Kristyn H*** texted me late one night to tell me about membership options and that they had a special deal that only went through the end of that day on 3/17/22. I agreed to sign up via text, where she gave me the membership rate of $119/mo. for 6 months, a few tidbits about the class, the day-of no show policy and how to cancel at the end of the 6 month membership. She did not disclose the full details of the membership, provide me with a membership agreement or tell me how to cancel early if needed. Instead, Krystin signed the membership agreement on my behalf without my permission and without telling me. I should never have felt so pressured to set a membership up over text, and I should have been given the opportunity to sign my own membership agreement to understand the full terms of what it entailed. I was offered a new job out of state at the beginning of the summer, and later lost my credit card in July. My bank account was frozen until I found it, but I got an email that there was a payment failure on my CB account and I remembered I needed to cancel my membership. At that point I hadn’t ridden since 6/6/22. I contacted CB to cancel my membership on 7/17/22, Krystin said my only options were to freeze my account for up to 3 months or buy out the rest of my account. I don’t feel that either of these options are fair since I never knew the full details of the membership and because I never signed the membership agreement. I have been trying to get this resolved for weeks and I am getting nowhere with Krystin. I’ve had to freeze my card to prevent further charges while trying to sort this out. At this point I would like a full refund, to cancel my membership and to remove any pending charges. I'm very upset that this is how my once wonderful experience has to end, and I hope that this doesn't happen to anyone else.
