Ive been going to red rocks for 20 years. The past two seasons have been a nightmare.I went to LCD the Sunday of ***. We got there early enough and posted up towards the top. A bunch of drunk (? Drugged?) people in the center of the row started screaming at people to move down and slowly the row started shifting to the sides, pushing me out onto the stairs. The girl working watched it happen and rather than saying anything to anyone in the row, she started furiously waving a flashlight and yelling at me to get off the stairs. I get it, safety hazard, stairs have to be cleared for emergenciestotally understand. But she watched it all happen. She had actually been standing there for the entire opener and knew I not only was in the row, but had taken a seat at the end of said row for most of it. I have vascular disease and cant spend long periods of time standing so I made sure I got there in time to get a seat. I calmly asked her if she had any suggestions of where to goI think once she realized Im sober she was more inclined to respond like a human, but told me there wasnt anywhere to go. I told her I had purchased a ticket and had been there for 2 hours waiting when the crowd just pushed me out of the row. She saw the whole thing and said there was nothing she could do and that red rocks has been overselling all their shows this year and its been a constant issue. Told me the employees have tried to complain countless times and that their voices are ignored and silenced. I tried for 40 min to get into any row anywhere, to no avail. No where to even stand except the outside** stairs as long as I was moving and not standing still. 15 min into lcd I left bc there was not an inch of space from the top to the bottom of the venue. To be clear, I weigh 115lbs and Im sobernot exactly a hard/unwanted person to squeeze in somewhere, but there wasnt any room. This wasnt the first show that I had to leave for inadequate space. Went to *********************** and same thing

A Red Rocks guest services representative will respond directly to ***************

For reference, Red Rocks is rented to promoters to present the shows at Red Rocks and they are not oversold.  The promoters are the ones responsible for sale of the tickets and retain the revenue from the tickets sales.

As with other venues, general admission seating is a first come first served situation and can be fluid.

I was at the venue tonight on the third attempt to **** through the people on the stairs in between the seats and the planter boxes, I fell. Staff was found to be hanging around at the top of the venue and having a great time while this was going on. When I asked to file a complaint and a missing item report (because my wedding band fell off when I fell) and was initially told that I had to send an email but I pressed for a manager and ********************* showed up. ***** gave me attitude after I was yelling over the concert behind me and I ended up just giving up complaining about the lack of security managing people, have him my information and went back to my seat.I looked for it after the concert but it was dark and I gave up after awhile. I'm so disappointed in Red Rocks and the staff there. I lost my wedding ring because you staff was s******* around. I can't ever forgive that.

it is unfortunate that ******************** lost his wedding ring at Red Rocks. The loss of his ring is certainly not the fault of the venue or the staff but we will check to see if it was turned into lost and found.

I am rejecting this response because I still have not received a call from a manager at this location. Loosing the ring was certainly the fault of Red Rocks since they had no control over the crowd and people loitering on the stairs (not the planter boxes) with no actions being taken by the staff to correct. The surging people at the edge, pushed me to the edge of the seating in front of where I was walking and I fell. Loosing the ring.

I want a phone call from someone in charge, and not the 'manager' I spoke with at the venue who didn't seem to care much about the problems going on that night.

    Sincerely,
