Do not join this club. We were members at the one in ****** and it was brutal what they did to the members and staff. Staff not the management. We had 4 days notice and the staff was not told. So many folks were not reimbursed and sent to their payment company called ************. This company is also a joke and they give you run arounds. I am still hearing about the nightmares people are having trying to get back their money. Watch out folks if you belong to Zone. Dont buy into a long membership because this can happen to you. We went to 24 hour and are very happy.Review from Andrea W

I certainly share the sentiments of all who were blindsided by the closure of the gym with two days notice, yet, in turn, they require 30 days notice of cancellation. I had over 9 workout sessions that are absolutely worthless and are in violation of their own contract if they cannot honor my sessions within 1.5 miles of my original purchase location. It's been two months and no communication at all. My trainer cannot train me at the **** but would be happy to have me purchase additional sessions over there if I want to workout with him. Excuse me? I denied the final payment on my credit card for the training sessions and won so now they are saying I own THEM $793 and payment is due immediately. I am telling you what, if I get turned over to collections over this I will be ready for a law suit. Anyone else with me? ***update. They also just charged the annual maintenance fee! For what? They don't have a location. I am going to start looking for a class action lawyer.Review from Linda S

STAY AWAY FROM ZONE ATHLETIC CLUBS!! Horrendously run organization with no integrity and extremely poor leadership. Zero notification for move from Cherry Creek location to abandoned retail store with services that are nowhere near the same as what I signed up for."Customer service" is a joke. Not surprised the the ********* club is closed. The staff was rude and my complaints to the corporate office went unanswered. I strongly suggest that any one stay away from any of their properties.Review from Ruby F

** AVOID ZONE ATHLETIC CLUB SOUTHLANDS **!!I have been trying to cancel my son's membership there since last year, but they try to string you along! My son is a college student and is only in town during breaks and summer. In the Fall of 2021.they said I could pause his account and he can use it during his breaks and pay the monthly fee of $29.99.After January this year, we started getting a hold fee of $7.00/month.I tried to cancel it, but they said he has to come in to cancel it. So in late May/early June 2022, my son went in to cancel it. I thought everything was done. All of a sudden, there's a $10.00 cancellation fee that was charged later that was never communicated with my son. I called them again and they said, yes, that is a cancellation fee. Unbelievable!Then a week or so later, another charge of $29.99 went through!! I spoke to the manager about the $10.00 fee and not once did he mentioned about another $29.99 fee though now he claims he did tell me. I'm not stupid! I was mad about the $10.00 fee, you don't think I would have issue with an additional $29.99 fee and my son has not used the facility since January 2022!! Terrible business practice!! My best friend and I got a membership to this place not even a month ago within a month of being here there has been so many people who have been sick there are no Covid restriction guidelines and not enough cleaning stations therefore I ended up getting sick myself on top of that I got a personal trainer membership my personal trainer the first time that I had she was complaining about how they overbooked her how she works too much how shes pregnant pretty much making me feel bad for even having her as my personal trainer so then I was supposed to be contacted within a week with the new trainer still did not hear anything back from TruFit to the point where I had to go and ask him myself about the new personal trainer. After speaking with them about the new personal trainer I met who my new trainer would be and still to this day have not heard from them so at this point I feel like I wasted my time when I called to try to cancel my membership due to the lack of safety of Covid restrictions me losing my job and my grandfather having cancer and me having to cover his surgeries I just didnt have enough money nor was I fond of this place to even pay the amount of money that I was going to pay to have a membership; The manager told me he would go ahead and cancel my membership and then I could pay $30 for a pass for a month so that way I could finish out my personal training then come to find out I get a call a week later and he is telling me he is not going to cancel my membership and that its going to go on my credit and I would still be responsible for payment I am totally upset with this company and do not agree with anything that they do from Covid restrictions to personal trainers to memberships to helping people out there facility is all around a joke. On top of that Im still being charged after being told my membership would be canceled.Review from Ronald M

I paid for sessions with a trainer at TruFit North Park in San Antonio Tx. They said they would call me with the dates to start but never did. When I went up to the gym the manager was always out . They were billing me the whole time. When I finally got a time with the trainer the first 3 sessions were spent going over info I had already gone over before joining. Then they tried to sell me their vitamins. I told Brian the assistant manager I was done with their service and filled out a form cancelling my membership. I moved away and didn't have access to any of their gyms anymore. Spent 6 months continuing to pay while calling to cancel and driving an hour to talk to managers. never got an email back, call back or they gave me a bogus number that didn't work at 2 different branches. After contacting my bank to block their transactions they started getting really responsive about contacting me on a daily to weekly basis about my lapse in payment. Now they have been harassing me for 5 months and threatening me with collections unless I pay them the 5 months since I blocked their account. Really really need to work on their customer service. also on their website its ridiculously hard to find any way to cancel a membership, couldn't find it and when I emailed their support team didn't get a response either.Review from francisco m

My wife and I had been members of a gym for almost four years when trufit purchased it. We decided to give them a try and it was a huge mistake. All the equipment that was broken when they bought it was still broken a year later. The massage chairs that we paid extra to be able to use were always broken or barely working. The customer service was horrible. The gym was dirty and at least once a week the gym smelled to high heaven. Our contract was finally up and we filled out a form to cancel our contract. I still have to copy of how much my last payment would be. When they withdrew the final payment they took double the amount. I tried to get my money back and corporate told me that I had to do it at the gym. I went to the gym and they said they had to get approval from corporate, I was given the run around so I finally just decided to lose that money and close my bank account. I was told that others had had the same problem and by the look of all these complaints it looks like that was true. It was a pain changing my bank account because I have things coming in and out of that account so I had to update all of those things. I don't want my money back because I don't want to ever talk to them again. I will however tell EVERYONE I come in contact with of my horrible experience with this company and do my best to discourage anyone from getting a contract with that gym.
