I signed up for school and started in approximately early April 2023. I was under the impression that I would be going to school full time, as I was never told anything else by the school. They asked me to send a notarized form back to them which I did two or three times. They allowed me to go to school till September where they cut me out of my classes because of my nonpayment of tuition. I received a computer and an extra 500 dollars from them. They say that this is because I picked up an extra class but I was told by an instructor I would lose my Federal Finacial Aid if I didn't. They put me into collections (*****) from the school (Not including my FFSA) and dropped me out of my classes. I went from a 4.0 to a 2.9 in just a few weeks as I was unable to access my classes. I never signed a repayment letter, and this was almost seven months into my program. May to late September early October.Business response

Consistent calls, different number every time so blocking doesn't do anything. Regardless of if I answer and ask them to stop, opt out of their text messages, they call at least 10 times a day.Business response

Formal Complaint: Misleading Practices at Coding Dojo/Colorado Technical University Dear Better Business Bureau,I'm filing a complaint against Coding Dojo, part of Colorado Technical University, for misleading practices in their Data Science Bootcamp.Transaction Details:Date: January 2023 Amount Paid: $11,000 Issue Summary:Program Misalignment: The program focused on advanced topics irrelevant for typical entry-level roles, contrary to what was advertised.Discontinuation: The program's discontinuation post-enrollment questions its relevance and ************** Services: Inadequate support led to extra costs and unsuccessful job search.Time Commitment Misrepresentation: Actual demands far exceeded the advertised ***** hours/week.Resolution Attempts:I requested a full refund due to these issues. September 2023 after a change in income I requested a review of my financial aid.I have submitted every document the financial aid advisor has requested, some more than once.Still no review. Last week I modified the form that gives my authority to retain future funds. I was attempting to create an account through a Meta CP LLC website. I'm not sure if the address is correct. I received a download via mobile app of Colorado Technical University. Colorado Technical University may not be connected to the website, but I tried to enter the information on this site forthe Meta CP LLC. I was attempting to create an account to manage my mental health and develop support services. After several attempts, and several spurts of many minutes passing, the website continuously redirected my information blocking the process of an account being created. I just recently graduated from CTU where I my balance for the entire school year was at a 0 balance due to my financial aid covering all cost. The entire time I attended this school I did hear from ANY staff! No financial aid advisors, no academic advisors, nothing! Once they have your aid money; they cut you off! Finical aid sent over more than enough money to pay my tuition in full. CTU somehow decided they wanted more from my financial aid and took more than they needed, creating charges and fees and taking it out of my FAFSA package. All of my charges for the entire year said 0, now a month after graduating they are harassing me with calls telling me I owe them $4,000 knowing that its never reflected on my ledger in ****************! They immediately locked me out of my portal and told me I had to pay $4,900! This school is crooked!!! It is stealing financial aid and the government is not stepping in to stop these people.Business response

I am writing this complaint with great disappointment .On the 26th of October 2023 i received a letter from Colorado Technical university informing me of my academic dismissal ,it was a shock to me and i tried wrapping my head around the decision made by the university.ive worked very hard to get to where i am and for all of it just to be thrown down the drain for no good reason is appalling to me . I believe that an investigation should have been done before making the decision to dismiss a student because we work very hard academically. False allegations were made against me and i was not even given a chance to prove my innocence before a panel atleast.i feel so helpless right now ive been working so hard for my dissertation ,all my efforts and hardwork has gone down the drain. I believe a rational decision was made (due to racial profiling ).i feel so emotional defeated and cheated by the decision that was made ,i am someone who suffers from high blood pressure and i can say upon reading the letter it has affected my health immensely. I was not presented with any evidence that was given to the university that led to their decision. Please BBB i will like you to help me to resolve the matter.Business response

I am rejecting this response because: I was dismissed based on allegations of misconduct against me by CTU. I firmly believe that these accusations are unfounded and do not accurately represent my conduct or character.
I have never contacted anyone for assistance with regards to my dissertation or my academics in exchange for monetary compesation, hence i requested for the evidence that was submitted which led to my dismissal. I strongly believe i am being sabotaged.I would appreciate if the BBB can request the contact number that asked for assignments assistance or services from the third party because I have never sought for such services.
I am open for further investigation and questioning to exonerate myself. I believe by escalating your findings, you will find out that the allegations leveled against me is entirely wrong.

I attended Colorado Technical University online for 12 courses.My financial responsibility for each course was $656.25. The total cost of my attendance should have been $7875.CTU has charged me for $656.25 a total of 14 times. My credit card company investigated the first time CTU made the mistake and found CTU liable for an erroneous autopay charge. The second time CTU made the mistake I had my credit card company investigate and again they found CTU liable for erroneous charge.CTU will not stop calling me trying to collect even though **** ruled in my favor with both disputes. Please remove me from their list of *******, I am not in arrears.Customer response

I have been attending Colorado Technical University **** ***********************, Colorado Springs, **, 80907/online for several months now for Criminal Justice with a 4.0 GPA but due to my last semesters, my grade has dropped to a **** GPA. I have been treated with the utmost disrespect with threats, biased remarks, and horrible unprofessional commutation from different departments of this university. They are very aware of the situations I have been facing, especially this past year. Still, no support & anyone honoring my situation. I am now have dropped out due to these issues I have dealt with. Hey..Im signed up back in Oct-November 2022 for finance programstarted off great passed the first class but once i got into the second & third i had to drop out due to personal reasons but in that time i took out one Pell ***** and one subsidized loan so when i talked to financial aid they told me they were going to send all the funds back once all my withdrawal paperwork was completedwell i completed the paperwork and by the end of December i was receiving a email saying i was getting ready to receive a disbursement from ctu which i was confused about because they were supposed to send everything back..so i called them immediately forgot who i talked to but the whole conversation is recorded and i explained the ************** said he would call me back which he did within 5 minutes of hanging up told me he talked to the ***************** advised me the money was mine and i dont have to send it back..well fast forward till now Ive been receiving emails about repayment from the loan place come to find out this place took two loans out and didnt return the smaller one and disbursed the bigger amount to me after tell me the money was mine,now theyre trying to breakdown the cost but like i said when i called back in December they told me the money i receiving was mine $**** was the amount but the total amount is **** but like i said only received ************************************************************************************************************* pay this back i was on top of everythingBusiness response
