    had hired this Honest Tax online website 2 yrs ago, they are or were working on our taxes, the phone numbers are all non working now, i have paid 8k to this company to file and handle my taxes for the next 5 yrs my case/claim # ****** my name is ****************************** ph#************** i have all my personal taxes and both my wife and my id information , i need to know how to reach them, or file a lawful fraud charge on this company, its been a month and no contact. i need help on this as i`m paying the 8k we borrowed from the bank to pay this company 2 years ago, now i have nothing !!

    I hired Honest Tax in October 2021. *************** assured me they could help me get 3 years of already paid taxes credited to my account. I was **************************** complications and overpaid my taxes. I sent payment without filing. I have documentation and DRs notes etc.

    I owed for 2016 and the credits from 2013-15 would cover all owed taxes. I had a timeline of how I overpaid my taxes but didn't file the paperwork in time. (You have 7 years if you owe, but if they owe you, they keep it after 3 years. (I did not know that, as a business owner 7 years was what was stressed for taxes!)

    Now I am paying 2016 TWICE!!

    I never had a chance to get the *** to consider my situation. I received a "currently not collectable status" notice on Oct 14th along with attempt to file a lien. I only had 3 conversations ever regarding my case and was clear I was not eligible financially for a hardship case and refused to fill out the financial affidavit. I was advised to fill it out and lowball my income and increase expenses, FRAUD! I refused.
    Honest Tax did not respond to the *** on Sept 27th (according to the *** agent I spoke with on 11/17/22)
    which triggered the *** status and lien. The ONLY way to avoid the Lien is to pay in full. How does this help get the $15,000 credit I already paid? THIS IS THE WORSE POSSIBLE OUTCOME.

    I asked for a refund, arbitration sent me an email that I should receive an offer. After 6 more phone calls and at least as many emails they offered me a 50% refund. No discussion, no review of case, nothing. I have asked for notes regarding case 4 times, and they send only *** transcript, power of attorney and receipt of payment, no proof of scope of work. Why 50% What is there thinking? They did nothing to represent the case I hired them to present. Clearly, they know there was a big problem.

    In conclusion, I believe they are a fraudulent company and would like a full refund.

    I am the 76 year old mother who hired Honest Tax to settle this debt for my daughter thinking that when my daughter did find a job, she would not be hounded by the *** and possibly get fired over this. She has been going to school and will get a job soon. Honest Tax did not complete the job I paid them to do. They promised to "eliminate" the debt owed the ***; however, they only postponed repayment. All monies originally owed are still owed plus penalties and interest. I received a letter from *** stating "Currently Not Collectible"; however, the amount of $4,912 is still owed (now more than when I hired Honest). The original amount owed when I called Honest, was $4,710. I paid them $2,478 and do not feel they have done much of anything for me. There are not assets to be taken as my daughter has nothing and I told this to Honest in the beginning, she lives with me and I provide for her. She has suffered from depression but is working her way through it now with help from medications. In hindsight, the money I paid Honest could have gone to the *** and the balance would be far less. Honest's response to me when I complained about the results was that "if my daughter adjusted her withholding she wouldn't have a refund the *** will take." I don't think this is an acceptable response. Also, it took them 6 months to come up with this response and this was after a few phone calls to them asking about the results. It appears they do not do much if not pushed by the client. You can look at my review and it basically says what I am saying here. This may be a long shot but it's worth a try. I certainly would appreciate anything you might be able to do for me. This is a lot of money for someone on social security especially when you feel like it was for naught.

    Dear **** ********** We are sorry to hear you feel this way but the *** status that we got your DAUGHTER in is truly an amazing resolution. It is hard for us to fathom that you are not happy that your daughter will never had to pay on the debt and will not receive a lien. If your daughter wants to try to adjust her withholding she won't have a refund the *** will take. And the IRs has ten years from which the liability was assessed and then the date will fall off. In addition, the *** always tells people to file for an OIC and they "Will pay $500.00." because they *** knows that 99% of the OIC's filed or denied. In addition, when a tax payer files for an offer in compromise, they have to submit full financials, 20% of the offer amount and a $150.00 filing fee. Now whether that OIC is denied or approved the *** keeps that money and NOW they have full financials on your daughter. And remember, the *** denies 99% of offers accepted, so you really have to take what they say with a grain of salt. Of course they will tell you they could settle for $500.00. That is a scripted line the the book of the largest collection agency on the world. Bottom-line is ******, it seems like no one if going to make you happy. Its like if an oncologist rids your body of cancer and you come back and say, 'Well what about my athlete's foot." We stand by the work we did her ******. Please tell your daughter enjoy having her dent erased and tell her to tell her mom to relax with a hot bath knowing she did a good job.

    BEWARE READ OTHER COMPLAINTS ALL ARE SIMIIAR!! My husband and I hired this company because we had back taxes due. This company did absolutely nothing for us. They charged us 2300 dollars and said they would contact IRS and stop garnishment, They never did that according to another company by name of Semper Tax. They never contacted the irs ! They then told us to take out a 12000 dollar loan with a high interest rate. we told them no because it would end up being practicly what we owed and if we had money in the first place we would pay irs that was the reason we hired you. We always got the run around talking with different people , I was put on hold several times with just the to be told i would receive a call back yeah that never would happen. After a year went by i contacted them and asked the status of our case what did they do for me for 2300. They then said they got my irs debt wiped away for that money but still needed ten thousand dollars and that if we all debt would be wiped away. i was reading several customer complaints and my story is so similar these people experiences they are awful ! I dont know how they can sleep at night doing this sort of thing. i contacted them for a refund several times just to go on a merry go round again. Please do not hire this company !!

    On July 2019 I hired Honest tax to file my back taxes for me, for a number of years that i had not file my taxes. They took all of my information and the years that i have not filed. They told me that their fee would be $3,800.00 or $200 dollars per month would have been 18 months to complete may taxes. And i made a mistake by paying them $3,800 cash through a transaction through my bank, I trusted these people because the name Honest Tax. That was a very bad mistake. Whenever I called to speak to the person that was working on my case they would tell me that person was no longer working there. The bottom line is they stole my money and did not file none of the years of back taxes that they was suppose to file. I started receiving Letters From IRS saying that i owe money for all of the years that Honest Tax was suppose to have done I would like to be refunded for for all of the $3,800 dollars that they stole from me. So that I can pay this other Tax Consultant that I had to hire to do the back taxes that Honest Tax was suppose to do. Please Help me.

    The did not do the work they promised and lied to me that they did.

    I've been working with them for a year. They were supposed to settle my tax debt and file my taxes for me. They lied twice that they settled my tax debt (pretending to talk to the****) and then lied again that they were going to file my 2021 taxes. They did none of those things.

    ************ told me he was settling my tax debt and but was just getting me into another loan (the 3rd loan from this company)

    I spoke to the**** they said NO ONE called to settle my tax debt - infact my account was close to being garnished. They stole 12k from me - treated me like I was crazy when I asked for help or clarity. Then they had ********** try to negotiate with me he said he cancelled 2 loans but wouldn't cancel the 3rd loan unless I let them keep 6k of the 12k they stole and had to sign a document saying I will keep my mouth shut about this company that steals from people who are vulnerable and looking for help. They should not be in business they should be in jail.

    They have caused me anxiety & stress & made my financial situation worse because of their lies.

    I am sorry that you felt like you had to misstate the facts of the case. **** actually advocated for you quite strongly. Its disappointing considering he was able to get 90% of the funds returned to you that you are still unhappy. Your third loan was cancelled and the only amount you paid was a few thousand dollars. **** did his best to get you a full refund, but there was a lot of work done on your case. We had you at the finish line and could get you in a *** status and you refused. So you wouldn't let us perform according to contract and just threatened us if we didn't do whatever you asked. That's a tough pill to swallow. At the end of the day, we felt like we were more than fair so its hard for to give this complaint any credit.

    **** ***** who was "helping" me has a history of doing this kind of scam to people see this case number. This is a person who was scammed by **** ***** - small claims case number ******************************** Filing ****************************************************************************************************************************************************************************

    He has been cancelling the loans that I should have never been put in because they didn't do the work and didn't plan on doing the work. One loan he cancelled he refused to pay me back the cash part of it which is 6701. He refused to give it back unless I accept half of what they stole from me & sign something that says I will not warn people about them.

    This company should be shut down & their enablers should be in jail. I need ALL of my money back & I am waiting for 6701 plus another 1600 from another loan & 7500 from another loan.

    They are theives & liars and need to be stopped!


    So the fact that he would pretend they have done everything they can to resolve it is ridiculous. There would no have been a problem if they didn't steal from me & do nothing. I am sick of his psychological head games

LOL . You basically shamed the arbitrator for not getting you exactly what you want. Life lesson for you ****. Just because you kick and scream doesn't mean you get your way. Not to mention, you criticize the person that helped you the most. Well what's interesting is that a simple internet check on you will show that you have a *********************** All you have to do is******* your name.     Consumer cancelled with us back in April of 2021. For over two years consumer could not get us the required documents. She kept referring us to her CPA. "I need to get them from my CPA. My CPA has them, I need to get them from him." We did this dance for two years. We expressed the importance over and over again. In April of 2021, Consumer told us that she just wanted to work with someone else and asked that we close her case. No talk of refund. However now, a year and a half later consumer makes a *** complaint. Not sure what to do here

    I have tax problems and I got with Honest Tax and they did not resolve my tax problems all they did was call me and ask for more money . They only filed my taxes for 2 years and got $12,500 from me and still was asking me for more money and didn't resolve nothing. Now I'm with another company ( Community Tax) and I'm still in the same predicament that I was in when I first started with Honest Tax. I want them to give me my money back and they only offer me $4000 out of $12,500. Can you please help me
