My daughter was locked out from one of the rooms in an apartment. She called West Coast Locksmith. She searched their prices listed on their website. When she was talking to the receptionist she was quoted $40 dollars for the job depending on how long it will take to fix. When the technician showed up (in a personal car - no company logo) he spent about 1 minute fixing the problem. He was rude and pushed my daughter (20 years old young lady) to pay $150 right away for *****. My daughter tried to clarify the situation as this was not the agreement but the technician kept pushing and hurrying her to pay. Also he barely spoke any English which made the communication more difficult. My daughter was threatened and felt in danger so she paid. When we called the company, they talked to us like trash and they did not even offer any help to resolve the situation. We are reporting their threatening behavior to the police.

Unethical advertising and unethical price gouging upon arrival. My experience is that this company takes advantage of people with misleading advertising and not giving proper quotes so that people will just move forward with their service upon arrival as they are desperate to get into their vehicles. The "20 minutes of less" advertising is false. They quoted ***** minutes on the phone due to traffic. I waited an hour and when he arrived he told me it was because I wasn't answering, although the dispatch had my correct phone number and I had been calling the technician to get an ETA.I gave my make and model to the dispatch when I first called and asked for a quote. The said it could be $80-150+, depending on the car. When the technician arrived he said it would be $180 due to the make and model being "more complicated." It's a 2017 model year standard American car and it took less than 30 seconds to open.I would recommend finding an ethical locksmith who can give proper quotes, and doesn't mislead with advertising so that you just end up stuck with them because you are desperate.
