On April 14, 2023 I went in to get a cashiers check in the amount of $2300. I went to the Long Beach location at no time did anybody ever go over the check with me to check over the amount. Check was then placed into an envelope- I did sign for the check although I am a senior citizen and things slip by me at times and at this point this slipped by me and the check was made out for $28,000 the place that received the check ended up cashing it for the $28,000 POLICE REPORT HAS BEEN FILED-and now I am out my money and the credit union says theres nothing they can do to help me I feel so embarrassed and ashamed and I know Im not the Lone Ranger on this happening to but Ive always dealt with the ******** branch and theyve always been so graciously to go over everything with me when I get a cashiers check they always double check and ask questions that everythings OK. This branch in Long Beach has just been awful and I dont know why I kept going back to them besides, it is in walking distance of my home. But not at one time did anybody go over the check with me or make sure that I was OK and not being scammed what happened to watching out for our older folks?? So disappointing
