1 starNever did I think an experience could be more confusing, unorganized and ridiculous! From having the broker not fully know about the products that could be offered, to having it switched to a "better deal" but never close the first, to having multiple people sending emails, calls and paperwork (because 2 applications were open) to last minute change to THIRD option to finally say NO WAY! I shared my concern with them via email when I AGAIN received emails from SOMEONE that was tied to them, but didn't get a response. Use a local credit union! So much easier. AND CHEAPER!

1 starIn all my years as an agent and broker, I can honestly say this has been the most disappointing level of service I have ever encountered and these are not even my clients. Our shared goal was to provide quality service as a team, yet we have been waiting on items that were promised since November 20th, our original closing date. After reviewing public feedback about your company, it is clear that consistent communication and follow-through are ongoing issues. We were assured an expedited clear-to-close today after you were unable to deliver one yesterday, yet here we are again at the deadline with no update from your team. This has created unnecessary stress for everyone involved.I will certainly be sharing this experience with colleagues and clients, as it reaffirms why I only work with trusted and reputable lenders.

1 starMy Loan Consultant at REMOVEDtold me they would never sell/transfer my loan. He lied. Just got a letter today they they transferring my loan to a very poorly rated loan servicer (8 days notice.) They are clearly not honest and do not sell your loan to reputable companies. I can't recommend New American Funding.

Hello REMOVED, we appreciate you bringing this to our attention and regret any confusion this may have caused. The transfer of servicing to another company is
a common practice in the mortgage industry. It can be due to various reasons, including market changes, lender efficiency, compliance, expansion of services to name a few. The selling or transfer can take place immediately after closing of a home loan or years later. Although the servicing rights for your loan were transferred to a new company, it does not affect the terms of your loan or the amount you owe; it simply changes the company managing your loan and where you send your mortgage payments to. A letter was sent to you notifying you of the service transfer change. You will also receive a letter from the new service provider who will be managing your loan with their contact information and where you will be making your future payments. We hope this has addressed your concerns in this matter and again regret any confusion encountered. Please let us know if we can be of further assistance to you. REMOVEDReview fromLuis R

1 star??Servicer Violated Federal Laws, Initiated Foreclosure, Damaged Credit During Active Loan Mod Review This is a warning. If you are a veteran or homeowner considering New American Funding (NAF) RUN!!!?? Violation #1: Dual Tracking (Illegal Under Federal Law)After my mortgage forbearance ended on October 1, 2025, I submitted a complete loan modification application on October 2 within legal timelines under 12 C.F.R. REMOVEDof the REMOVEDSettlement Procedures Act (RESPA).Despite this, NAF placed my home in foreclosure on October 13, 2025 and sent a Notice of Acceleration on October 14 while the loan mod was under active review. This is a clear violation of:12 C.F.R. REMOVED(f)(2) prohibits initiating foreclosure while a complete application is pending.12 C.F.R. REMOVED(g) prohibits moving forward with foreclosure judgment, sale, or acceleration until the review is completed and appeal rights expire.38 C.F.R. REMOVEDgoverning VA-backed loans; requires exhausting all alternatives before REMOVEDHandbook M26-4 mandates servicers obtain VA approval before foreclosure activity.?? Violation #2: Credit Reporting During Legal Dispute After receiving no response from NAF, I mailed a certified Qualified Written Request (QWR) and Notice of Error under 12 U.S.C. 2605(e) on November 6, 2025, disputing the illegal foreclosure actions. The very next day (November 7), I discovered REMOVEDhad reported a foreclosure to the credit bureaus, violations:Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) 15 U.S.C. 1681s-2(a)(1)(A) prohibits reporting inaccurate info when the servicer has reason to believe its false.FCRA 1681s-2(b) requires timely investigation and correction after a consumer dispute is received.?? The Fallout My VA-backed home is still under threat of public auction (set for January 6, 2026) despite legal protections. They ignored a certified legal dispute and reported foreclosure anyway.

1 starTERRIBLE COMPANY W/O A SOUL If I could give them "0 stars" that's exactly what I would leave "no stars." I see & understand why I didn't have a pleasant transition using this lending company, just by seeing & reading the previous negative reviews - everything resonate. My issue w/this lending company began towards the end of the process, clearly the closer I was getting to closing certain individuals in this company went APE FOOL; especially the individuals who was inconsiderate & abruptly changed my closing date, then another male personnel became impatient suggesting in an email that included me to "terminate" my buying contract. To add insult, I had to reside in a hotel for an additional 5- more days; resulting in me having to use some of my closing money to pay for the extra 5-days at the REMOVED-I didn't have any add'l funds allocated for any extended hotel. Had I not used some of that closing funds I would've became homeless along w/my 2 vehicles which I'd paid $2500 to a company to transport both of my vehicles (2018 RAV 4 & 2023 REMOVEDCamry). What was so hurtful was that I had a 2pm appt to meet everyone at the attorney office to sign the closing; however, b/c I got lost 3-hours trying to locate the attorney office from the REMOVEDnear REMOVED- I was not familiar w/the REMOVEDarea, let alone knew where the attorney office was or where my new home was located- I knew it was in REMOVEDbut I didn't know how to locate it from REMOVED. Sadly, this company have very poor communication skills as the previous reviewers conveyed, no-one seems to know what the other is doing- just poor communication. Many appeared to be ok in the very beginning but soon after I sold my home in Tx & arrived to REMOVED, I was left w/o no where to go since I couldn't enter the new home; let alone park in the driveway since I hadn't yet closed. TURN BACK B4 U REGRET IT, I regret it everyday. Purchasing a new home should be a happy & pleasant experience not HELL!

1 starI had my travel plans all set to go for an out of state closing date of April 4. New American funding told me on April 3, while I was enroute to the new property, that they will have to delay the closing another 4 days which would have caused me a hardship and hotel fees. It was liking pulling teeth to have them honor the closing date they assured all parties involved. Then New American funding took the liberty of paying my credit cards off with my proceeds and without my permission nor notifying me. Then I paid the credit card companies, not knowing. It was a ridiculous quagmire of red tape getting my money back for twice paid bills. They have not honored any of their time commitments and took liberties without my permission.

1 starStay away from this company. They dragged us thru a refi process for 4 months. Their teams have horrible communication. One doesnt know what the other is doing. We kept getting assurances that everything was going forward. They questioned why we use a PO Box for mail. We needed to send a written explanation. they accepted our excuse and then wanted to know what we use it for. We live in a rural area. Most people use PO Boxes. We did everything they asked over and over again. We signed the same forms over and over. They said it was normal. Paid upfront for an appraisal that said we had 1.1 bathrooms. We have 2 1/2. We have no copy of the updated appraisal. Closing was set for 9 am 10/17. At 8am we got a call from the lawyer, he wasnt coming because documents never arrived. New closing date this am at 9. Lawyer showed up at wrong spot. No one told him new address. We spent 1 1/2 hours signing papers til we got to a quit claim paper transferring our house from a family trust back to our names. We were 3 years into the trust and for health reasons did not want to restart the 5year wait clause Thats what would happen. We were at the table! We stopped all signings. The lawyer even told us, he wouldnt sign it in our circumstances. Their lawyer! Never did anyone mention in over 4 months that this was a problem. Stay away from this company. There were so many red flags. I think this was a blessing. Please customer beware. They talk a good game but delivery is nonexistent.

1 starThis company dragged us from February of 2025 to June 30th of 2025. Had applied for a new mortgage from this company. I told them up front that this loan had to close by June 30 of 2025. I was told no problem. The first loan officer that we work with he told me what he needed ad I got it to him. Sometime in mid-April I was change to a new loan officer. I was told by him no problem. I was told that I would have to pay for an appraiser on our home but not until they had everything worked out and the loan would be fund I paid for this in May. We started talking about an closing date. In June I would be able to close this with no problem by June 30th. We were running out of the month of June. We had also received email from a Senior Processing name REMOVED. She had told us and email us a copy of the Hud Addendum to Uniform Residential Loan that also show us our locked in rate. we received this on and it showed rate was locked in in May/05/2025. In June we thought for sure we had everything worked out. This company likes to email to you any updates. Except on June the 30th Ms. REMOVEDcalled me and told me that if I didn't make a payment of REMOVEDthat day to the company that was to be paid off at closing my loan would not be funded. I told her that I didn't have that kind of money and Mr. REMOVEDhad told me that now we would close July 1st or 3rd. He had talked to the mortgage company, and they had told him as long as the money was wired to them by the nineth of July that would be okay again, I was told don't worry everything is okay, it's not a problem. It was around maybe eleven on June the 30th that Ms. REMOVEDtold me to make that payment or my loan was done. She didn't lie I email her try to reach her on the phone. I got nothing from her she did not try to email me or call me again. Now because we had a missed mortgage payment, I can't get another company because of the missed payment. I may lose my home because they just didn't care to do the job

1 starInitially talked with a mortgage lender within this firm. Everything on the phone was fine, but waited for an email to start forwarding docs. No email, so I called to see what the issue was. He told me loan was so small that the seller (my brother's estate) had to come up with 6% to make the deal work - they called it "regulatory compliance" - what a crock! Avoid these snake oil people at all costs!!
