On or around September 11, 2021, I drove to Stockton, California for a screen repair for my iPhone 11 Pro Max at Zoomlock wireless owned and operated by *** ******** ******. I had communicated with the owner, *** ****** several occasions via Facebook messenger re the validity and he claimed he provided certified screen replacement services. I trusted that it was viable. *** ****** and his employee took my phone with an Apple warranty still in good standing and then proceeded with replacing my screen with a non-certified low cost import screen. The screen looked odd immediately upon pick up and I voiced it to the person ringing me up. He re-assured me it was the lighting in the room, the screen protector, the light settings on phone, etc. As I was frustrated already from driving and also waiting for the repair, I still went against my own instinct and left with the phone not appearing normal to the naked eye. One day later, the screen slowly stopped functioning. Two days later, the phone screen stopped working entirely. I reached out to the vendor and they offered me to drive back/return to have it looked at. It’s clear and apparent, the products are NOT Apple certified and now this store voided my warranty AND gave me a non-working screen. I am also in the process of filing a small claims matter with *** ******* ****** ******** *****. Zoomlock wireless and it’s owners and managers will be responsible for waived warranty due to their negligence and dishonest “guarantee.” In the meantime, I will continue disputing here and also via my credit card company to ensure this deceitful and dishonest shop and owner does not continue to scam people out of their money and warranty.
