I went this business once before and had Richard at Action Cylinder rebuild my ****** Tacoma heads, was satisfied with the work. I went back in November of 2021 with a **** ****** Samurai JA 1.3L and asked him if he could rebuild the complete motor TURN KEY... With everything working. He said bring it in and he'll take a look at it. I brought it to him, he called me back and said he could do the work and give it back turn key condition for $2,700 and 2 weeks to complete the process I agreed, he started the work and called me a couple days later and said he needs to rebuild the carburetor, I replied that he quoted me turn key with EVERYTHING WORKING... he reluctantly agreed to fix it, but they don't work on carburetors but had a shop(Dyno shop m, ******)that owed him a favor, I said as long as it was done correctly. I paid for the work in full $2,740.60. It took 4 weeks to get the vehicle back (2 weeks over quoted time)had issues right away, I called him and he said to bring in. I did, he adjusted a couple things and said bring it back at 500 miles for service, I did. Got it back and still had issues right away. I looked online for another rebuild shop and found ********** in ********* who specializes on Samurai's, brought it to them, told me it had 150psi compression on all 4 cylinders should have 200psi. And that the wrong rods or pistons were installed plus over charged by $1,000. I called him, he refused to listen to me and hung up. I sent text messages, they went unanswered. I am having ********** rebuild the motor again in 1 week, and paying for the new work out of pocket. At this point I will be out $4,340 for the rebuilding of the motor. I am looking to get only $1,600 refunded to me for what the original cost to have it done correctly should have been.Thank you,*******************
