    My G.F. took me on a romantic surprise one year anniversary trip to the Santa **** area on 6/30/23. We arrived late afternoon after a busy morning, neither of us were able to eat. When arrived at The Crow's Nest we ordered the acclaimed award-winning calamari (my favorite food) , the nachos & the clam chowder. The server was over all fine in her service except as we waited for our food I noticed that OUR utensils had food on them & then The replacement knife I had also had food on it which I figured I would need, but terrible oversight not to check unless for some reason there's a safety sanitation issue with doing such. We were overall distraught with the food as well as for the nachos the meat wasn't very seasoned at least to our taste buds if at all which, was on top on top some hard some soggy nachos chip which, included jalapenos that I would bet hundreds of dollars were purchased in bulk after being processed in a factory & had low potency. The clam chowder was decent & had a little kind of cheesy flavor to it which was interesting, but the award-winning calamari had my ************** shaking our heads in disappointment as it was on par with the cocktail ************** sauce that came with it that were subpar. I literally told my girlfriend I'd like to see the award because I don't believe it. We ate all the food as we anticipated we would if it tasted good. The meal wasn't cheap & I'm writing this not only as a review, but if you happen to know that something was wrong on that day whether it was a new cook or short staffing or whatever & you would like to refund $25 to my girlfriend's card I would accept that compensation for the negative exp. we had, if not that's totally fine, but I as an open-minded person would have to say that I'm definitely not interested in coming back & trying something different or giving a second chance because of our exp., the price & the one hour distance we live away from your establishment. We did order drinks as well.
