On March 8, 2022, Sergio Lorenzo Rodriguez entered into a Plea Agreement with the Department of Justice. The Agreement settles allegations that Mr. Rodriguez engaged in one count of wire fraud in connection with a fraudulent foreclosure rescue scheme that took in at least $5 million in prohibited advance fees from thousands of financially distressed homeowners. The pleading guilty to one count of wire fraud carries a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison and a maximum fine of $250,000 or twice the gross gain or loss from the offense.
