10/6, I searched Survey Monkey site for a monthly plan. The only page available was the attached image. I signed on and figured that I might be billed annually but could cancel at end of the month. I tried and they said NO. (FYI, there is NO customer support until after you have subscribed to something.) The last issue they claimed was that I exported the survey. YES, it is on their page as OK to do. They had a different excuse each time. I have a thread of emails if you need them. They also said since I opened a dispute with ***** they could do nothing. That is wrong, they could adjust the amount. One month, even at a premium would be acceptable. There was NO option to select a month. You HAD to select annual. This is a scam. I am rejecting this response because I can refute each of their claims:1- Subscription options, features, and conditions are included for customers to view and agree to on the sign-up checkout page when processing the payment for an account upgrade, and listed within our Terms of Use.
See attachment #1 sent in original complaint. This is the ONLY page that offers info on a monthly subscription plans with exports available. It says on this ONLY page that it is monthly but billed annually. This is what I am fighting for. A monthly charge for my usage.
SurveyMonkey is a self-serve tool, and as such we expect our customers to carefully read and consider the terms and conditions they are agreeing to before signing up for an account and/or providing their credit card information.
2-I read the only terms available before purchase in attachment #1. Any additional terms sent after purchase is becomes a mute point. I purchased based on my needs... 1 month, paid annually for survey with exports.

5- I wrote several times to this email/customer service before going to the ********************. They reiterated these boiler-plate lines. My claim is that Survey Monkey obfuscates their information and misleads customers. It is impossible to get customer service before a purchase. If I was told simply this ins NOT a monthly plan i would not have subscribed.

On 10/28/23, our company credit card was charged $497.25. We have been requesting support in locating the related login account details as we cannot locate who's account this charge is coming from. In order to see invoices, surveymonkey site says we need to login, but we don't have the login information and our requests for support have not been answered. There is no working phone number to use for the site - the site explains that phone number is reserved for paying customers - but in our case we have no access to the account so this does not work. Thus the only available support for us has been filing support tickets as advised, however, of these two support tickets, 1 was closed without any response, and the other has gone unanswered. I have not received any response and all I can do is endlessly submit tickets that go unanswered. With no contact from surveymonkey we don't know if this is a valid charge and there is no support whatsoever. We've provided the date and amount of the charge, as well as the last numbers of the card charged and that has taken us no where to date. We are looking for the business to reach out to support us in locating the login name so that we can login and review invoices as needed. In case of an inactive user, we need support so that the account information can be made available to the company.Business Response

Transaction from Nov 29, 2023. This company puts "$25/user/month" in big bold letters while the "starting at 3 users billed annually" is in small, lighter colored print. Asks for card information first before showing you that they'll be charging you over $1300 for what was presented as a $25 bill. I tried to modify the number of users on the order page, then hit enter, and instead of updating the number of users in the field I was editing it put through the entire $1300+ charge. I did not click "confirm" or anything else to consent to this charge, I was modifying a field that THEY built to allow typed input, hitting enter while typing in that field should NOT submit the order. I was just trying to get service for 1 person for 1 month, and while trying to edit the order I was instead charged for:$300 for 1x Team Advantage Annual Plan $360 for 2x Team Advantage Contributor Seat $600 for 2x Team Advantage Annual Plan Additional Seat (Team)$56.70 tax Additionally, when the order went through it still listed 3 users, yet I appear to have been charged for 4 seats? $25/month/user for 3 users is $900, not $1260. Then I tried to contact them, apparently phone support requires you to pay for one of their even more expensive plans. Instead for my $1300 I got a chat bot that would only refer me to their refund policy. Phone number on the transaction (provided by my bank) goes straight to a message that no one is available.I was drawn in by a deceptive representation of the price, then had my money taken by an ordering system that took a normal action on other sites (type in a field, then hit enter) as an excuse to charge me without confirming my order. Then I found it nearly impossible to contact anyone except for their chat bot which, again, just referred me to their site.I have contacted my bank but disputes take time. I have been trying to cancel my subscription on SurveyMonkey, and there is no way to talk to a real human. The software is on Autorenew and keeps trying to charge my Credit Card, and their does not seem to be a method on their billing system to Cancel Subscription. They force me to use a BOT and the when I enter my details, all I get is confirmation number that they received the request with no further followup. The system keeps trying to charge my CC, with no way of turning the billing off. This is a case where Big Companies try to hide, and/or make it almost impossible to cancel a subscription. While the account has been closed, it took extraordinary effort to get the account closed. ********************** hides the close account so that you have to use their BOT to send message to close. They try to make it as hard as possible to close the account. While I am happy to have the account closed, the way they do business should be investigated, as it should be as easy to close an account as it is to open.

I was charged $468 automatically without proper notice of payment being taken from my credit card. The state of ********* does not permit annual automatic payments without notice. I have tried to stop my subscription via the phone as well as email, but email bounces and no one answers or returns my calls. I am out $1,800 ($900 of which I accept is my issue, however the other $900 is not). Looking at the reviews on BBB looks like they have issue in this area, however mine is very specific. I have disputed with AMX, however I do not think they are asking the right questions. Their statement in review responses of "self service" in my opinion is not the same as NO service. Here is a brief sequence of events:- I created an account while working for Neo4j and expensed the annual fee as a business expense.- In 2022 I stopped using SurveyMonkey - The email login is based on working at Neo4j. I left Neo4j and do not have access to the SurveyMonkey account, nor the email.- August 2022 (after being billed for the annual fee) I called SurveyMonkey and left 2 messages to cancel my account and hopefully get a refund for the following year. I never heard back from them.- August 2023 (after being billed for the annual fee) I called SurveyMonkey and left 4 messages. I left detailed information that I no longer had access to my account, could not log in, cannot reset password as the rest goes back to the email account of the company I no longer work for. I never heard back from them.- Morning of August 4th left a message that I no longer had access to the account and to call me to discuss.- Evening of August 4th left a message that I no longer had access to the account and to call me to discuss.- Morning of August 7th left a message to call back and if I did not hear back I was going to dispute the charge with ****************** Evening of August 7th left message that I have not heard back and I was disputing charge.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because:This is a similar response I have received earlier. they are not addressing the issue that I DO NOT HAVE ACCESS TO THE ***** ADDRESS TO CANCEL THE SUBSCRIPTION nor are they answering the phone or returning voicemails. I called and left a message a year ago and canceled via voicemail. I have not used the system in 2 years.
They seem to cut and paste and do not read or listen to the complaint.
Please provide answers to the fact I cancelled a year ago and look at record verifying the account has not been used.
