I signed up for a free trial from SurveyMonkey in June 2019. At that time they asked for a credit card, my mistake, that should have been a red flag. After the trial period I left my survey up for 30 days. After the 30 days I cancelled my account, however, SurveyMonkey continued to bill my credit card. I contacted them via email several time to cancel my account and they never did, nor did they reply to my emails. They change their website contact information periodically and give a false phone number. When call the phone number listed on their website you receive a recording that tells you to go to the website to contact a member of the team. I also found that they had two accounts set up for me under my email. One account was my first name and last name the other under my first name, maiden name and last name. I did reach out to SurveyMonkey yesterday and received an immediate email stating that they were looking into my issue. The email also stated that again, the contact website address would be changing. Today, I received an email from a representative of SurveyMonkey (Monique). Stating that she could not give me a full or partial refund d/t the amount of time that has passed. I did respond to her email. In my opinion, SurveyMonkey is not a creditable business and borders on illegal practices for the following reasons: 1. Requiring credit card information for a free trial. 2. Continuing to charge a credit card after an email has been sent to cancel services 3. Duplicating an account - setting up two accounts for the same person using the same email. 4. Changing contact website information and providing a contact phone number that does not offer individuals to speak with a representative or leave a message for a representative to call back and respond.
