    I am a paying customer of REMOVEDand I am filing this complaint due to a serious and unacceptable situation involving GitHub Copilot.Over the past few months, the service has been unstable and unreliable, with frequent usage blocks despite having an active paid subscription.     My name is REMOVEDand I am a student at the REMOVED, pursuing a Bachelors degree in Computer Science.I have official documents proving my academic status and I am trying to activate the GitHub Student Pack, which includes benefits such as one year of free GitHub Copilot.However, the verification system refuses to accept official digital documents (PDF) and requires me to take a live photo of my computer screen using a phone, which makes no sense.Even after doing this, the system says it cannot read the data, making verification impossible.Customer support does not offer any real solution and only states that verification can be done through this system, with no alternative REMOVEDa result, I am being prevented from accessing a legitimate student benefit due to a flawed and inaccessible verification process.

    Mon 24 Nov my email received a suspicious login notification from GitHub and my account was flagged, even though it was me who logged in using my original IP and device. There was no new location or device used.I made a support ticket the same day asking them to unhide my account. It has now been over 3 weeks and my account is still hidden, and I have not received a single response on my REMOVEDearnings have dropped by around 90% since my account was hidden. REMOVEDhas not taken any action to resolve this.I do not seek compensation for the lost money. I only want my account to be reviewed and unhidden.

    My entire access to my account has been lost, even though I still have all the primary account credentials (email, username, password) because my phone with 2FA on it stopped working.     Formal Complaint Against GitHub, Inc. - Retaliation and False Accusations of Abusive Language To whom it may concern, I am writing to file a formal complaint against GitHub, Inc. for what I believe to be retaliatory actions taken against my account following my contributions to open-source repositories. I was falsely accused of using "abusive language" and subsequently faced censorship and banned from entire organizations. Including my account being shadow banned, my comments deleted, and even my own private repositories. I believe these actions are unjustified and represent a serious breach of trust within the open-source community.Specifically as of today 02/22/2025 I login to my Android Studio account. I find my game project corrupted. And I can no longer fix the bugs created by GitHub. I previously logged in earlier in the month and I noticed an asynchronous exploit error. Which has caused my master branch to not update with my main project. Which I ignored. I see now that my contributions are a direct result of the retaliation from GitHub. First starting with the Nmap project and ending with jQuery. These accusations of "abuse" are unfounded and any evidence showing to the contrary is warranted. For it is extremely frustrating having your work continuously, erroneously, and superfluously deleted after years of hard work. I am concerned GitHub's actions are intended to discourage newcomers and prevent any sort of expression. Which leads to civil rights breaches and felonious actions. I demand that the BBB launch an internal investigation into what constitutes "abusive language" and enforce stricter regulations that appeal to their standard. For it infringes of the civil rights of others with evidence to back these claims. Including dates, screenshots, and timestamps.
