Received an "urgent" hiring request email. I am a very experienced and skilled clinician licensed in multiple states and bilingual and am generally considered the ideal "unicorn" provider as I have many years experience in treating chemical dependency and have been mentored by some of the best ASAM certified physicians/fellows. The first interview pay range was very low, around 65K less than someone of my experience would make - not market competitive. However, I believe in their mission and was willing to take a pay cut as I am passionate about expanding access to care. The second interview the recruiter (DS) did not know if she had any more of these "urgent" needs and rescheduled for a week later. A week later that recruiter was a NO SHOW. I carved out MY TIME and missed out on income for this follow-up and I was given no professional courtesy. After reading the reviews here, it appears patients are complaining about quality of care. Please don't disparage nurse practitioners there are some of us who are very good but there are lot of diploma ***** out these days and there is market saturation which means companies are picking up very inexperienced "cheap" clinicians and you get what you pay for.
