    I was contacted 9 Ang 2023, by *********************** from Brilliant Books, I submitted my query letter. I received word from Independent Evaluation Review that it needed some work and it was declined. Then on 7 Nov 2023 a ************************* so (Executive Literary and Developmental Manager) contacted me. I could not do anything at this time. On 10 Feb 2024 I contacted ************* that I had updated my query letter. He asked me to send him the query letter and my manuscript. Since then I have not heard back from him. When I call him I get a busy signal. I tried calling Brilliant Books and the reply says that this number cannot be completed at dialed. Now I've learned that they are in ************* also.

    They contacted me. In their overblown email the line 'Book Title' was blank. I've walked this line before. I will not fall for the scam. On the other hand, I'm pretty safe because I don't have any money for them to scam me out of.

    I recently posted a bad review about the unprofessionalism with regard to employee ***********************. As an update to further illustrate my point. Here is another quote from her that I received today, 8/21/2023. Keep in mind that this is after three requests via text message for her to stop contacting me. And I quote. "You gave bad reviews under my name with the firm, I'm affiliated with? Well, since you started this! I will do the same thing to you and your book!!"My response: "I simply told the truth of my experience. Again, thank you for your continued display of unprofessionalism. Thanks for the heads up of your intentions. Ive saved all email traffic and text messages regarding this issue should the need arise for an explanation on my behalf. For the fourth time, please stop contacting me."Her response: "You are the ones who contacted us! You called me multiple times. I have the recordings! If you are not going to delete that review you gave, I swear to you, all the platforms that your book is available will be filled with negative reviews. We'll see!" Good luck to anyone working with this company or this individual.

    They promise things they shouldn't to get every cent from the authors trying to fulfill a dream. I'm the agent of one of those authors. I was told that a reputable publishing House in ******* was interested in buying the rights of two out of the three books that ******************************* ***** wrote and had published. Because this company does not take unsolicited manuscripts they needed a letter of representation for a book inquiry. For the total price of $2,000 which the guy we talked to from that company said he would put $500 from his own account into it for that letter, but it was a done deal and all they needed was that letter and ************* would be signing a contract through DK in England for the rights of his books. The day after getting the money they move that signing from the end of March to the end of October maybe. They have stopped answering their phone and answering your email my 75 year old mother put them money on her credit card he she disputed it they said that we got the services that we paid for we received nothing I got a draft of the letter but nothing else. And during that time Mr ******************* the representative contacted me two more times to try and get another $1,000 each time. It's a scam. I'm new to this industry tell me are there ANY legit places an author can trust?
