    I have had nothing but problems with this company. My accountant even asked that i leave gusto because he has had alot of problems working with them. He said they have screwed up so many of his clients taxes. On December 6th of 2022 gusto suspended my 24 hour deposits and told me i would have to wait 4 days to get paid because when they went to run the monthy gusto fee there was insufficient funds because work was very slow at the end of November so I had no money in the account . So I called them and was told that I would have to have 3 months of on time payments before they would give me my 24 hour deposits back. In February I called and asked if I could get my 24 hour payroll back and was told I wouldn't be able to get that back until the middle of March when the 3 months was up. So I have suffered through this past 3 months not running payroll simply because I cannot operate that way. I need to run payroll on Thursday to be paid Friday I can't wait until the next week. So now my 3 months is up and they just told me I would have to run payroll for another 3 months before I get 24 hour back. If I'd known that in December of 2022 I would of dumped this crappy payroll service so do yourself a favor and do NOT use these people they will s**** you one way or another

    We had Gusto help us renew our company health insurance in Nov of 2022. They somehow accidentally canceled one of our employees benefits and we didn't find out until 1.22.23 when the employee got sick and had to go to ************ We immediately contacted Gusto who said the issue was on the carrier's side and they would reach out to resolve the issue. We've since been reaching out to Gusto on a weekly basis, both by emails and calls (sitting on hold for hours each time) trying to get an answer. They keep telling us it's United Healthcare's fault and they've reached out to them to resolve the issue. United Healthcare on the other hand is telling us that Gusto canceled our employee's insurance and has never reached out to restart it. United Healthcare tells us that if Gusto simply calls them, they can restart the insurance in 3 to 5 days but it's been over a month and Gusto hasn't reached out (even though Gusto is telling us they're on it). My employee now has over $1000 in medical bills and we've spent over 15 hours on calls and emails trying to resolve this with Gusto who has been doing absolutely nothing to help us. We're so incredibly frustrated and our employee is now putting off doctor visits and travel since she doesn't have health insurance. This is a terrible thing to do to a small business and their employees.

    ************The worst customer service and no accountability for their mistakes We signup up for Gusto service at the beginning of December 2022 to process the only payroll we had at the end of the year. I called on December 27th, and a representative walked me through how to process the payroll for a pay date of 12/29/22. Gusto decided to process the payroll on 01/03/23 without notifying me of the change. When I called to inform Gusto of the error, I received no support from their **************** Team by phone or email. I have sent numerous emails to Gusto's executives asking for help in correcting errors, but I am still waiting to hear from them. Because of Gusto's mistake, we have incurred penalties and interest in the VA Withholding Tax and CPA expense for filing our W-2 and payroll reports. Case #********

    Like other reviews, I would give no stars if possible. Worst company I have ver dealt with. They took my money out of my bank account to cover my direct deposit payroll, then inform me that they were changing my payroll to a four day turn around time from 2 days. Since it was a Friday and a three day holiday weekend that meant my employees had to be told they would get paid five days late. Had one employee quit and two more wouldnt come in until they got paid. With a small restaurant business like mine it makes it hard to operate.Customer service is an offshore office located who knows where. The people you get in the phone cant do anything to help you. They cant put you through to a supervisor or anyone who can provide real help. They dont use real names and no one will call you back no matter what they tell you.Run away as fast as you can and pay a little extra for a payroll company that will do the job right.

    Gusto charged $147 for a month of payroll service after we canceled our payroll plan. No payrolls were processed during this period. Gusto knew that we would be charged and instructed us to wait until the charge was posted to request a refund. Gusto has since refused the issue the refund, even after escalation to a higher level support team. AVOID GUSTO at all costs and choose a company such as Homebase with better service and prices.

    Gusto had done the payroll for my company for eighteen months. Not only did they kept removing the money from my acct and not direct depositing my employees, but kept saying my state tax number was invalid. I moved to another payroll company. During this time I used Gusto this past year from ******** They never sent anyones W2s out. When I called they told me they werent going to as I changed companies. I have made formal complaints to the *** about them.

    You need to allow negative stars. Beware of this corporation who outsources the customer advocate department. Advocates are either not trained or just do not care. We have been kept on hold, hung up on and blamed for mistakes. The advocates do not use real names, no extensions so there is no accountability on the advice they give or the processes they s**** up. We have had our checking account debited 15 separate times for a total of $390+ dollars and no one can tell us why. I have asked for a manager or supervisor and per he/him or she/her the managers/supervisors do NOT take phone calls. We are also still waiting for the 4th Quarter Federal and State filings to be processed so we cannot close our account nor delete our bank account. This company was referred to us by an accounting software we started using last year. We have already reached out to them and advised they should re-think who they partner with. **************** is SEVERELY LACKING, Knowledge of Gusto programs by their own advocates is SEVERELY LACKING, Respect for Gusto customers is SEVERELY LACKING.We have not processed a payroll in 2023 and after all these errors and problems, Gusto had the nerve to debit our account for the monthly invoice!!!!!STAY AWAY AND WARN YOUR COLLEAGUES!!!!!

    As I'm positive you've seen with several other reviews, this is by FAR the worst customer service you'll ever experience. It was all fine and dandy right up until late last year when they decided to sh*t the bed and start outsourcing all aspects of their "tax specialist" team to resolve any issues. Only for you to be left sitting there, getting notice after notice from your local government stating you're now an illegible employer and you need to pay a fee. You'll never speak with someone who isn't from a call center in *****, you're not going to receive any form of actual assistance, and you SURE as h*** won't be getting any form of follow up to any issues you'll experience with this dog water of a company.DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

    0 stars!! Gusto with-held my contractors **** and refuses to submit it even though I had a week to submit before the federal deadline. This was there mistake and they still won't correct it. They told me they would and then they wouldn't more times than I can count. I had to call them daily and still they never followed thru. Each call around 45minutes of my time. This company is a complete joke and I would stay far away from them. They have no accountability and do not care if employers have problems with their taxes. Switching companies asap.

    WORST Payroll company. I have been in *************** for 26 years I have worked with several payroll companies, HRIS, *** systems. I have over 13 locations, My taxes where inflated my employees taxes were inflated, They couldn't explain why. I would get a run around no real customer service and no management. The ***** person that signed me up basically said hes job was only to sign up business and couldnt support the lack of support they provided.
