The Giftly gift card amount is misleading. Someone in my class gave me this gift card for my favorite restaurant. After activation, I tried to use it 4 times. I finally STOPPED WHAT I WAS DOING and called customer service and was told the card can only be used for $20, not $25, if it's a restaurant. Yet most of the advertising on their site is for RESTAURANTS. She said it says that on the letter that was originally sent with the card. Are you kidding? A gift card that says $25 yet it's good for only $20 at restaurants. This is misleading and I will tell people I don't even know to NEVER use this company. And companies wonder why they go out of business........

Hi *******,We're so sorry for the trouble. When customers pay with a credit card, some merchants (like restaurants) add a 20% charge authorization on top of the bill assuming they will tip. On a gift card, it can cause the card to be declined if the total amount of the charge authorization exceeds the cards ********** avoid this happening again in the future, the waiter or cashier needs to authorize the card for no more than the cards balance. Or, if you use the card at a retailer (or other business that is not service-based), then you will not encounter this issue. But, to clarify, your card should have the full balance available on it. GIFTLY is basically a money transfer service. They do not actually issue gift cards or certificates to the businesses and venues they mention repeatedly on their website or in the sponsored search results that Giftly has purchased to game search engine queries. If people want an actual gift card, it is best that they buy directly from the businesses they are interested in. Giftly is only useful for folks who want to transfer money to someone else who, for whatever reason, doesn't use apps like CASH app, ******* Venmo, or Zelle.

Thanks for taking the time to send us your feedback and we regret that Giftly was not the best fit for your needs this time. In a few places on our website, including a dedicated How It Works page and within the disclosure on the checkout screen before checkout, we describe how Giftly works and that there is a step for the recipient to choose how to receive the funds. We intend for this to be a convenient and flexible way to receive a gift and we do apologize if this was not the case for you this time.If you are a purchaser, would you prefer a refund? Please contact us directly at ******************************** and we'd be happy to assist.Giftly

With over 20 years of experience in the cybersecurity field, I understand the importance of not sharing my personal information, especially since almost every online scam begins with a request for more details to "proceed with this transaction."I was pleasantly surprised to receive a gift from a family member. However, when I logged onto the Giftly site to redeem it, I was immediately confronted with too many questions about personally identifiable information (PII). Despite my reservations, I completed the initial questions, only to discover that I wouldn't be receiving a gift card for the store I expected, but rather, a generic **** gift card. The following day, I received a follow-up email stating, "If we don't hear back from you within a few days, the gift may be canceled, and a full refund will be sent to the buyer." This prompted me to research Giftly on the Better Business Bureau (BBB) website, where I found that they hold an A+ rating. However, the majority of reviews are one-star, which makes me question the BBB's rating process. Please be cautiousit's rarely appropriate or safe to provide a gift card company with your full Social Security Number (SSN). I recommend asking your family member to consider gifts that don't put your identity at risk.

Hi ******,We're so sorry for the frustration. To clarify, Giftly does not and will not ever ask for your social security number. If you were asked this, we want to know more - please write to us at ******************************** with details. We wholeheartedly agree that everyone should be careful of online scams, and our inquiries are in place for that reason: the protection of our purchasers and recipients. As a money transfer service, we are often a target of online fraud attempts, so we have many precautions in place to detect and screen where we can. We're very sorry if our fraud processes spoiled your experience. Please contact our Support team with any further questions.Giftly

Rec'd a gift card from my daughter and she wanted me to use it at a local nail salon. Took it there, didn't end up getting my nails done, and then I couldn't find the card. Came across the Giftly email today, realized I had never found or used the card, and when I inquired their customer service told me where it had been used and when, including on ****** purchases. None of which were mine. The response to my card being used fraudulently was basically sorry, not our problem. Giftly could work with ****** and confirm it wasn't used by me, but they make no effort.

Giftly took it upon themselves to add my business to their site and confuse customers with gift card purchases. I did not authorize my business to be listed on their site for gift card purchases or anything else. I am upset the confusion this causes with my customers.

Cards do not get delivered by text as stated, resent to email, just to find out card cannot be used unless its transferred to bank, or ******? Or wait ***** days for a **** card? Ridiculous as card was sent for immediate use to purchase food and the recipient doesnt have any other option but to wait ***** days for a card? Completely disappointing and do not recommend to anyone using this service!
