Last May, I registered for a course offered by Simplilearn. During the enrollment process, I informed the representative that I would not be able to start the course until late 2023 or early ****. The representative assured me that the course was flexible and that I could start anytime. I was told that I would be assigned to a cohort when I start, and I would have a year to finish the course starting from the assigned cohort time. Additionally, I was informed that I would have lifetime access to the course content. This means that if I decide to start the cohort in **** or ****, I will have access to the course for life, as long as I finish the course within a year of being assigned to a cohort.However, I was recently informed that I would have to pay $900 to extend the course, otherwise, I would only have until April **** to finish it. I do not think it's fair to have to pay $900 to extend this course, given that I have not yet begun it, and have not been assigned a cohort. In addition, since the program is not as flexible as advertised and sold, I believe I should be allowed to drop the course and not be charged the full amount of $3600 and should receive a refund of $700 that I have already paid.Business response

I signed up for a certificate program offered by the *************************** through Simplilearn. I was repeatedly told that I can take as long as I need to complete the course. This was also stated during recorded sessions. I received a phone call that it has expired and I need to pay $650 to get an exam voucher and extend my access. I told them no, and have repeatedly stated what I was informed of. Another student informed me they were charged $500 for the voucher, previously, but their access has also expired. After reaching out to *****, this individual was informed that they did not have to pay for an extension with or without the voucher. After I informed Simplilearn that this individual paid $500, I was then offered the voucher for $560 to get the voucher and access for an additional year or an extension for $500.Business response

I was told if i call in before December 2nd I can get a full refund if the course isn't of value. After going through the videos I've seen most of this information as elementry and baseline marketing you can find on ******** So I Reached out to ********* via email. Before signing up he was so helpful and didn't miss a call and always called back. Once I told him I wanted to cancel he asked why and didn't respond until I emailed him 3x in a row. He said they will reach out to me soon. I took it upon myself to call them from my phone. They said use the help chat to ask for a refund. So I asked for a refund via help chat. They told me they have to ret support team to help in 24 hours. I asked if theres a number to call and she gave me **************. When you call it says use help chat. Help chat won't help. I feel like a hamster on a wheel. I would like a full refund like i was promised. I have proof of all conversations and emails.Business response

I paid for my niece to take a 28 week Cyber security bootcamp provided by Simplilearn. During the class she was unable to join the online classes, files that were supposed to be accessible ended up being empty folders, one of the two instructors quit halfway through the class, recorded session were requested to help make up for inability to join the class because the site didnt work and took weeks to obtain after multiple times they sent the wrong files. After communication with the administrator she was told to resolve the issue of logging on by herself and then she was blocked in the messenger program used to communicate. Several calls have been made to try and get the $2000 I have paid for the class back and the only response has been they will enroll her on another class. After telling them no I dont want that several time we got an email they enrolled her anyways. I have screen shots and documentation of all the issues outlined in the complaint. The company says I have another class scheduled and I still owe them $8000Business response

I am rejecting this response because: I have communicated with this company on 5 separate occasions and their resolution to the problem every time is to enroll in another class. They want to do this so that they can still collect money for the class after Ive dropped out because the class was a complete disaster. In the communication with the company every time it is repeated over and over that my only option is to take another one of their classes. After I hung up this last time I got an email saying I was automatically enrolled in another class. With as terrible the last class was I dont want anything to do with this company again. The only resolution I want is a refund of what I have given as they breached their verbal contract of giving a class that is conducive to learning cyber security. I have provided screen shots that I was unable to get into the online class, that make up videos were never sent or the wrong ones were sent and then finally that the administrator blocked me because she was frustrated with my constant contacts. I contacted the BBB because interaction with this company have failed. So no, I dont think them contacting me for a 6th time (likely to attempt to get me to enroll in another class) would resolve this issue.

with SIMPLILEARN, I availed a PMP Certification training and exam worth 899 USD but the voucher they gave me is not working. I encountered the problem 2 months ago and decided to report it to simplilearn. for more than a month, I only get updates saying that they are investigating and they will get back to me in 24/48/72 hours but no significant progress at all!Finally, I got an email saying that they want to engage on a screensharing session with me and asked me for my preferred time. I gave them the timeframe, but they decided to call me at 6:00 in the morning! the agent promised to call again in 10 minutes, after 30 mins I got a call from another agent saying that they will do the screensharing session the following day because it needs further "investigation"My take aways:1. They ignore the important details provided to them. It doesn't matter if you try to explain the situation.2. They use the word "Investigation" to delay the resolution 3. If you encounter an issue, do not expect for it to be resolved within a week 4. Their after-sales support is garbage.Business response

Hello BBB,This is regarding PMP course with Simplilearn. Date Of Transaction in two installments: In 28th June and 27th July 2022 I have paid Total Rs ****** to Simplilearn for PMP course: Online bootcamp and for exam cost & PMI membership and help with application form review.I paid money for training along with exam fees, total money in 27th July 2022 (I made in two installment- (Rs 25000*2) =Rs ******.Due to medical emergency, I didnt try to use the exam voucher which is provided by Simplilearn, and when I tried to book my PMP exam found its not working for me then I have contacted Simplilearn to share new voucher but they are saying that it been expired, there is no option to extend the exam voucher and denied to payback to me.Then I cross checked with **************************** and found that the exam voucher was redeemed by another individual in June 2023.Email screen shot: I am attaching email screen shot which I received from PMI and invoice and payment received confirmation email snapshot. They cannot deny based on PMI email that voucher redeemed before expiry. Vouchers are for those who get it as complimentary. They are charging me double the amount and top of that asking to pay again for exam fees. If I go outside their Org, still I need to pay Exam fees $555.where is my exam fees gone without even redeeming for PMI exam. Please help me out and refund amount for PMP exam which I have already paid to Simplilearn for certification they made it as money earning business from US applicants as well as from *****.Kindly help with this fraud organization who already consumed my paid money which was supposed to cover exam fees and passed certificate. I paid $1250 CAD dollars for a *** training course that includes a voucher for the *** exam, which is around 550 US dollars itself. When I attempted to use the voucher it was not valid. *** contacted the company numerous times to inform them of this, however ** continually ignored. Its been more than 3 weeks that i have been contacting the company and am getting false deadline for resolution or no response at all. I was at least hoping I didnt have to pay for the exam twice, which looks like the case. I dont want a full refund. Just want the cost of the exam or the new voucher.Business response

Hello BBB,This is regarding PMP course with *********************************** .Date Of Transaction: In March 2023 I have paid $1000 to Simplilearn for these courses: $496: Online bootcamp was class with Instructor in ***** with 200 attendees in one call. I have attended 12 classes with ******* attendees and finished those classes.$504: I paid extra to cover the exam cost & PMI membership and help with application form review.Note:I paid total money in March and informed them in advance I wont be able to start class before July/August.Without even resuming classes I started getting notifications that voucher is expiring. I called their representative and she informed no worries, you havent started training ,this is next step after completion of training and our team will guide you will all the process for exam. We will take care of extension.Business *************************** email screen shot:I can attach email screen shot with 100% exam pass guarantee no voucher expiration mentioned in email.1)I paid money for training along with exam if not passed money refund promise.2)Why we need to depend on voucher ,I did not get this complimentary service ,paid full amount 5 months before joined the classes.3)They all waited till voucher expires on 09/17 and 09/18 morning itself come up with plan we want to do favor for you that you just need to pay $565 extra as your exam voucher expired. I paid till exam completion with 100% pass guarantee not based on voucher.Option 2: I I would have gone directly and applied for this exam without this Simplilearn institute:1)Direct way :I can directly book for PMP exam in $565 and that application is applicable for 2 years. I can plan to write exam any time in that time *******)Through PMI :I can take PMI membership in $150 and Exam cost will be $405 . These things will start only when I fill and submit the form.Note: In both the above cases my cost is half of what I paid to Simplilearn and only date starts when you submit either PMI membership form or Submit application form and reviewed and approved for exam. Then how this Simplilearn is playing with consumers,befooling them in the name of certification. I did not even submit PMI membership for or even my application process havent even started. Then what kind of Voucher expired ,even directly reaching out to PMI and exam wouldnt have that kind of process.How Simplilearn can charge me again for the exam process which they even did not delivered and I paid for that.As I have attached screenshot my fees included both Exam and training. They cannot deny based on voucher expiration gimmick. Vouchers are for those who get it as complimentary. They are charging me double the amount and top of that asking to pay again for exam.Please help me out rather than supporting with certification they made it as money earning business from US applicants.I already paid for exam(whose form I never filled till now then what makes it expire) with 100% pass guarantee nothing can change now. They cant confuse consumers and always try to extract money as they know now I havent filled exam form if I go outside their Org ,still I need to pay $565. In $496 they gave 12 days -4hours each day training with 200 attendees I class and hired instructor from economic country.Solution:1)Please help me to get my money back.2)Or as promised this money was till exam completion not for any voucher format. I bought " Full Stack Java Developer Job Guarantee Program " course Online on 07/27/2022. They didn't enroll me in a suitable cohort. I asked for refund they are not giving me refund for almost 312 days. They have not issued any refund or enrolled me in a suitable batch.
