Beware and ensure you get a price for testing. I check my insurance claims frequently, because I have learned the hard way to stay on top of my medical bills and such. I am 13 weeks pregnant and I just found out I am having a girl through NIPT testing. We're very excited. I opted for Invitae's genetic carrier testing after my ob gyn recommended it, because the health of our baby is high on our priority list. I recently discovered that Invitae started a claim process for the amount of $3,750. That's a tremendous jump from the $100 price the test requisition form promises. I am very disappointed and I am arming myself up to see what conclusion the claim process determines.

They don't answer ANY emails, ever. And when your test is taking longer than the site tells you you have to call to be told they are running behind. I get that places can get backed up but normal places will send out an email automatically to let you know. If you call in you'll probably be sitting on hold. And the only update you'll get is that it's taking longer than usual so don't waste your time with calling them. I have extreme anxiety and their lack of communication isn't helping that AT ALL. They shouldn't advertise 5-7 days for the ***** It should be extended as this isn't true for me AND for many others. And why have an email for "contact" if NO ONE gets back to you?? I've never had this issue with past NIPT tests.

This is a horrible company. They advertise a 5-7 day turnover for results for genetic testing. I am currently on day 11 and they have no idea when the testing will be done. Its amazing how you can trick people into thinking they will get fast testing and they have to wait so long.

This company is horrible. They advertised 5-7 calendar days for my test results and they have all over their website that they have such a fast turn around time. They are absolute liars. I planned a gender reveal for eleven days after my test thinking that would be generous. Waste of time and money. I still don't have any results or updates or reasons for the delay. They should not be advertising 5-7 days if it's a lie and clearly isn't EVER true based on every review of them ever.

Was told by my OB that the test would take 5-7 days to get results. I ONLY did the test because I wanted to know the gender early. I planned a gender reveal party for two weeks after I should have gotten the results. That party is this weekend and I still have not received the results. After paying 100$ for the test, I ended up having to pay another 150$ to sneak peak to get my results in 24 hours. This whole thing is a waste of money and time. Should be illegal to say 5-7 days if its not even close.

My OBGYN and the Invitae website told me my insurance would cover the testing after looking it up. Even now when I log into invitae website, a screen pops up saying my estimated cost after billing insurance was $0. I am ok with a small fee, but getting a bill for $368.37 after being told $0 is ridiculous. They billed my insurance $1,665.00 for the testing. I can't get any info online except for the screen telling me that I would pay $0. I don't want a ding on my credit score over this. I'm really disappointed in this shady advertisement and hidden costs. I would NOT recommend this company. You really can't trust anyone these days and it's sad.

I had **** ***************** and SMN1 Gene ************ Anyls testing done by my IVF doctor. My insurance was suppose to cover it all but $88. Since I had Aetna they charged them over $1010 for what is normally a $350 test. I get the **** (again it was projected to be $88 OOP) and it was $337.72. I just paid it and feel ripped off. The genetic testing is not even the best and I don't feel reassured at all. Just avoid this company if at all possible. They are not all there yet with technology and they rip off their patients for subpar information- literally 23&me genetic testing for $99 told me more than their tests.
