  Don't advertise with them. They charge a ton for nothing. Spent hundreds and didnt get a single job. Then they send continuing bills even after canceling.

  I called yelp and asked them to take down my business page, I didnt want to use them because I am getting fake reviews from people who arent even my customers. ********************** just leaves the fake reviews up, and they refuse to delete my business off their site. It should be illegal if someone doesnt want their stuff on there, they should let you delete your whole account. Cant you get them for copyright infringement for having your business name and likeness?

  Yelp is a scam! They deserve zero stars. I was promised they would put me on the top of searches to get orders for my baking business. I answered every potential spam call figuring it was an order. Never was. I had to fend off every spam caller. After Yelp billed me $50 after a week of doing nothing for me, I cancelled my account. Now they're harassing me to update my credit card info to pay them another $217 plus possibly another fee after that. Do NOT get involved with Yelp!

  They remove legitimate reviews for your business because they use an AI system that flags reviews IF THEY SEEM TOO POSITIVE. This is an actual reasoning that an employee gave me on the phone. I asked how long it would be for them to check out my reviews and put them back up instead of keeping them in "not recommended" category. They gave no timeline and said it might be a year or more. For a brand new business this is so terrible! Also they want to charge you $400/mo for their basic listing service which includes REMOVING COMPETITOR ADS FROM YOUR LISTING, otherwise you get put at the very bottom and they spam your listing with your competitors and hold your account hostage. Worst business practices ever, just look at their average review rating of 1.02. I'm just glad I didn't give them any more money.

  Thought that this would boost my business ads all I did was cost me $3000. They never had any of the listing words for the search criteria correct I own a paving company and they had me listed under cement and Masonary from July till September they have charged my account over $3000. I called and multiple times to make a complaint. They would say they lowered my monthly premium, but I would still be charged the same amount. The customer service representative hung up on me and was very rude. I do not recommend anybody to sign up for this company. They shouldnt be in charge of handling reviews of companies when they cant handle their company their self very poor customer service and our huge scammers.

  I have read most of the reviews/complaints here and I experienced everything that has been written about Yelp. I was contacted by a sales *** who mis***resented the fees and charges associated with "leads", "page clicks" and "page upgrades". The *** asked lots of questions about the business and then offered to set it up for me to review and approve. What I did not know was that during this set up he activated every single "upgrade" possible resulting in over $700 of charges in less than a month. I ***eatedly asked to have the pricing fee schedule sent to me prior to my page going live which I never received. During the review of the information entered by Yelp's agent I advised that the phone number listed was NOT the business number and was my personal phone number that we had spoken on the day before. I asked to have the number removed and it was not. I later went into the account and changed the number myself. After receiving an unexpected charge from Yelp (I was advised charges would post on the first of the month however I was charged somewhere around the 20th of the month - I believe they do this so you are not aware of the charge and then do not have time to dispute the charges prior to them clearing the account) I called to cancel the account which was almost impossible to do. I finally got the account cancelled and realized my PERSONAL phone number was again listed on the business page. This is a change I did not make or authorize. Prior to signing up for Yelp I rarely received spam calls/texts. After they posted my phone number without authorization I began receiving numerous spam calls/texts and even being added to unknown group chats. I then reached out and requested my personal information be removed and after several emails I was advised my personal information would be anonymized or deleted. It was NOT. After a few months I was contacted by a retention specialist to see why I cancelled and what they could do to win me back as a customer. Total SCAM.

  On September 11, 2025, Yelp Inc. closed my account without providing any prior notice or specific explanation for the closure. I received a generic email stating my account was terminated but no details on what, if any, policy I violated. I contacted Yelp Support multiple times through their online form and email, requesting clarification on the reason for the closure, but they refused to provide any specific information, citing their Terms of Service.This lack of transparency is unacceptable and feels like an unfair business practice. Additionally, I believe this closure may have censored my ability to express honest opinions on Yelps platform, effectively restricting my free speech.

  I started an ad on Yelp, and they began calling 2-5 times a day, without stopping, and harassing me. They also lied to me about how my ad was performing. I actually stopped the ad just now because they called so many times, including when I was in the hospital, and told them not to contact me. I received 2-5 calls a day in the hospital, including while I was in the *** and asked them to stop, but they continued calling, trying to upgrade a plan that did not need upgrading. I consider it harassment. I will take the appropriate action against the company.

  Corporations like this should not be allowed to operate as a legitimate business. In addition to the scamming, playing with bank accounts by submitting small amounts before trying to charge the account if you have your account blocked, and all other reviews/complaints, the once seemingly-legitimate business directory is now submitting false leads to businesses. AI? The last two leads had a phone number of (406) 800- .
