    OpenTable allows you to earn points for each restaurant booking you book. I have over ****** points, which I have been trying to claim a reward over the past 3 months. The system isn't working to send me the reward. I've contacted ***************** but continue to get a canned response with no resolution. Case #********. There is no actual person to speak with, so this is getting very frustrating that I can't utilize the restaurant reward.

    I had a restaurant reservation for 10:30 am on Sunday March 2, 2025 at ************ - ********* booked on Open Table. I have not received my points for this reservation. I do not see the reservation in my list of reservations. I tried resolving this issue on the Open Table help support page but could not get past the ** robot which offered no resolution and would not accept my request to chat with a live agent.

    Hi, I went on Opentable App to check my reservation time and my whole account was gone. I had thousands of points which are worth money and many upcoming restaurant reservations that I can't access on the app, along years of my past reservations. Nothing has changed on my end, and I have used the app frequently in the last week. When I tried to recover my account I put in my phone number and email and it did not find my account and created a new account for ***** phone number and email haven't changed in 25 years and I want my account back. There is no one to call or email and only a bot to chat with that has automated responses and can't help at all.     I use open table all the time. Many of my recent dining awards have not been credited to my dining points balance, although it stays "you've earned 100 points". My points have not moved from 7200 points. I can't reach the company. Only a really bad bot and I can get nowhere.

    I booked a reservation through OpenTable. Several weeks later, I received an email from OpenTable stating that the restaurant had canceled my reservation. When I contacted the rentaurant they indicated that they had not done so and had not requested OpenTable to do so. OpenTable had, on their own, contacted all of the people who had made a reservation at that restaurant and sent them cancellations, fraudulently claiming that the cancellation was at the request of the restaurant when it was not. OpenTable had a dispute with the restaurant, so they chose to impersonate the restaurant and lie to their own users, which caused me and probably many others significant stress and wasted several hours of my time.

    I recently redeemed 2000 Open Table points to receive a digital Amazon gift card. The card never arrived and I cant get a hold of anybody at OpenTable. They dont have a live chat agent and when you call the customer service number at ************** it just disconnects you.

    I have been trying to change my email address in my account. When I try to do so, I am prompted to click a link emailed to me to confirm. This email never arrives, so I switch to phone confirmation. When I enter the code I receive, I get an error saying they were "unable to complete my request" and to "try again later" or contact them. I attempted this multiple times and tried to contact support. The support is AI which does not offer this issue as an option to address. I also tried to call the customer service phone number during business hours and it hung up indicating I needed to contact them online. I am unable to reach a person who can update my email address and this is not acceptable. I want my email address updated without any further runaround.

    I hope youre doing well. I wanted to bring to your attention a growing concern regarding OpenTables practice of paying for customers, which is significantly impacting fairness within the reservations industry. By subsidizing customer acquisition, ********************** is creating an uneven playing field, making it increasingly difficult for independent restaurants and competing platforms to operate on fair terms.This practice not only distorts market competition but also pressures restaurants into reliance on a system where they must accept money and are forced to use that reservation to maintain visibility and customer flow. Given the broader implications for local businesses and consumer choice, I wanted to raise this issue for consideration and potential ********* appreciate if this could be looked into. This is an unfortunate game OpenTable is playing and it is to the detriment of small businesses here in ******* and elsewhere.

    I have been trying for 2 weeks to reach Open door I reached out two headshots to cancel December 22nd they stated that open door would be responsible for my refund I asked how to reach open door cuz I didn't realize that open door was a third party when I made the reservation the guy pretty much without saying it saying he didn't know how to get a hold of him that I would just have to go on the app I received an email cancellation confirmation from Open door the same day according to open door it takes 10 or so days to get refund it's been over a month since I canceled I downloaded the app to try to get some customer service all they have is a bot with the few choices all it says is I should have got to cancellation email so I went back to the email and clicked on everything I could and still back to square one

    I have an OpenTable account for booking restaurant reservations. After 10 bookings, OpenTable offered a $50 gift card to use on a participating restaurant, which I earned and utilized. The next milestone was supposed to be 20 bookings, and I was continually notified of my progress toward 20 bookings in the OpenTable app. However, once I reached and surpassed 20 bookings, OpenTable moved the goal post to **************************************************** the 20 booking reward. As a compare and contrast, I attach a screenshot of my OpenTable account showing 50 bookings for the next milestone, and a screenshot of my spouse's OpenTable account showing 20 bookings for the next milestone. I believe OpenTable moved the goal post because they did not want to fulfill their commitment of 20 bookings while continuing to track my consumer habit data, which I believe to be a bait and switch tactic.

    I am rejecting this response because while OpenTable did reach out to me personally and provide more information about how to redeem rewards, I should not have to file a BBB complaint to know this information. OpenTable should be more transparent about its reward program and notify consumers when a reward is earned. The OpenTable representative was very professional in its reach back.

    I am rejecting this response because referencing the public website and a chat function shows that OpenTable takes no responsibility for its lack of transparency in the reward program. Almost all businesses proactively notify consumers when a milestone is reached unlike OpenTable. Meantime, OpenTable is shamelessly collecting mass amounts of PII and selling it for their own profit without being transparent when a consumer reaches a milestone.
