I received a notification from Coinbase stating that my crypto send function is disabled until August 7, 2025, due to concerns about a potentially fraudulent transaction. I am rejecting this response because:1. The claim that the restriction is applied to 'protect customer accounts' is not credible.
Reason: I have delivered irrefutable proof that the transaction is mine and completed between my personal accounts.
2. The advice that the restriction is temporary is meant to be assuaging. However, it does cause a financial loss.
3. Coinbase's claim they are allegedly 'unable to manually override or expedite the lifting of the restriction is particularly troubling.
Reasons: a. Human beings make decisions about rules, not machines, so Coinbase is in denial of their responsibility.
b. What Coinbase has done, could well meet the standards of embezzlement.
c. In addition: To offer the option of trading the crypto 'Tao-Bittensor' on their platform, reap a profit from trades, and then block customers from using their acquired
property by alleging 'Tao-Bittensor' maybe - quote - 'a fraudulent person pr platform', is such an egregious case of unacceptable business practice, that Coinbase
must face further consequences for such actions, the likes of which they already do via class-action and individual law suits.
4. Since Coinbase refuses to reimburse me for the damage they have caused, I demand they reverse the purchase and reimburse me for the full amount including all fees. If Coinbase
has any business integrity whatsoever, this is the least they can do.
5. I categorically reject Coinbases attempt to defend a position that could well be understood as fraudulent, and I demand the immediate lifting of the applied restrictions or complete
reimbursement.
In closing:
Should Coinbase choose to continue blocking me from utilizing my property, then I will reserve my right to consider legal measures, and I may also consider utilizing extensive influence on social media to acquire support in this situation.

I tried buying a product from a company (*************) who routed me through Coinbase. Knowing nothing about them or any other crypto service, I assumed that they were just a "go between" service on how they got paid. Now the vendor cancelled my order and there's $67.97 stuck in some Coinbase wallet. After 2 hours of frustration of "trying" to communicate with an individual who was apparently "offshore" and not proficient in English, I got nowhere. Basically they wanten me to jump through multiple hoops "identifying myself" before I could transfer said ammount into another account and then hopefully my bank. They wanted pictures of my Driver's License! They Sure Didn't Need that to take my money! All I wanted was them to reverse the transaction and put my money back. Coinbase locked my account because of suspicion of fraud. I was setting my mother up with an account and we had to upload her ID and somehow her ID got uploaded to my account. After trying to get an unlocked they informed me that I would have to make a new account and they will transfer the investments to the new account. After creating the account, they needed me to again upload my license and take a selfie (i have done this 30+ times in the past 2 days). No matter what I did, their system would not accept my license. I have yet to be able to access my account and my investments. I understand fraud prevention especially in the crypto world, but this has been a stressful and ridiculous process. I have been trying to gain access tomy Coinbase attets my BTC - I have acces to view my account but have not had access to my funds for three years. I have authenticated and validated my ID more than a dozen times in the last month and I still ndo not have access. Nowe Coinbase is stating my telephne number and the last 4 number of my SS# are not valid. They claim they are sending emails I receive all of the emails regarding my account except the emails I need to resolve this issue and the emails detailing the chats from support. At this point I am just going around in circles. I **** requested my initial investment which came from my bank, who Iam sure verified my identity in person, they have not released this. My issue is accessing my funds not my account. Now I have a 15 hour hold on my account regarding my SS#. I dont have a coinbase account yet I keep getting emails saying about having one and recently got 2 seperate emails from them saying $250 was withdrawn. This is very concerning especially because you cant talk to an agent unless you sign in and when I try to use my email on their website (as I dont want to click any links in emails) it wont let me after I hit the forgot password link. I dont have an account and think my information was stolen and an account created with my information and I dont want to receive any bills or anything. Im filing this complaint against Coinbase for deceptive business practices and wrongful denial of benefits under the Coinbase One Preferred membership.Since Dec 4, 2024, Ive paid $29.99/month for Coinbase One, which advertises $10,000 in Transaction Protection. In April 2025, I lost $4,000 in a crypto scam and immediately reported it to Coinbase. I contacted support multiple times via chat and phone, asking for help. Not once did any agent mention the Transaction Protection benefit or that I needed to file a police or IC3 report within 45 days to remain eligible.I only discovered the benefit myself in July 2025. When I contacted Coinbase on July 22 to invoke it, they said my case had already been denied despite never telling me a formal claim had been created or what was required to complete it. They falsely claimed I had shared account info, which I absolutely did not. There was no unauthorized access, and I only reset my security settings because an agent advised me to do so as a precaution.Coinbase withheld critical info needed to fulfill their own policy, then used that lack of information to justify denying my claim. All while continuing to charge me for a protection service they never intended to honor.I am seeking reimbursement of the $4,000 loss under Coinbase One, and a fair review of my case. On July 17, 2025, after logging out of my Coinbase account *********************** I became unable to log back in due to a verify passkey loop redirecting to my phone settings. Despite verifying my identity four times, Coinbases system failed to grant access. A duplicate account linked to my Gmail was created during troubleshooting but has been deleted. Coinbase support, including a phone representative, claimed they couldnt find my account despite my details (***** *******, **************************************************), and live chat was unhelpful. I signed up for Coinbase One in an e-mail offer to trade with zero fees. I signed up, the website apparently didn't sign me up, and I was charged $374.60 in fees for a transaction. Otherwise would not have placed the transaction Contacting support, ***** said I am not signed up, but to sign up. Then I asked if the fee would be reversed and he said no.This is bait and switch and I am owed $374.60. No wonder people are hesitant with crypto.
