I won an automobile auction on ***** who recommends escrow.com for all payments. Thinking this is a good service, I transferred full payment, more than $17,000 following their instructions for ACH. They will not accept a charge card that would give me some protection. They require a photo **, so I provided a valid drivers license front and back. It was rejected, so I provided my valid ** Passport. It was rejected. They required a selfie while holding the ** next to my face. It was rejected as the ** was not legible. They literally held onto my $17 grand while questioning my integrity, is not that pile of money sufficient proof? Repeated calls to their customer service were quite frustrating, as I was treated as a criminal and received nothing but robotic stock replies. My bank, Fidelity Services, warned me that both **** and Escrow like to hold onto funds they do not own. Escrow dragged this out for so long the seller cancelled the auction and relisted. So neither the buyer nor the seller got any help from Escrow, who killed a legitimate transaction with incompetence. The only thing escrow.com lacks is an appeal from the Crown ****** of ******* who needs ** to wire funds from *******. Good luck any pray for help from the almighty if you decide to use them.

Just here checking and the experiences listed are pretty spot on how poorly they run their business. I am having trouble paying them through *********** and now that I've experienced their attitude, I'm glad. I just wish I could retrieve my info back from them.

My experience with Escrow was nothing short of a nightmare. I was looking to buy a car & found a listing on Find My Electric. After reading the description and contacting the seller, I decided to move forward with the purchase. I transferred $45,000 to the Escrow account that they had been spamming me for days to send the lump some without everything needed by the seller. The car arrived, and to my dismay, it was not as described. The seller had claimed that the car was in excellent condition with a Full self driving Package on the Tesla (15k Value), but it was clear that the car did not have the software as well as was dirty inside and out. The odometer reading was much higher than advertised, and it was evident that the car had not been properly maintained.I contacted Escrow immediately, hoping that they could help me get my money back. However, their customer service was appalling. The representatives I spoke to were unhelpful and seemed disinterested in my situation. They kept telling me that they couldn't do anything about it, and that it was my responsibility as a buyer to contact the seller for any problems or questions. That isn't even the worst part. It has been over a week since I got the car delivered and I have yet to receive the title. I am in awe of how terrible and unprofessional this company is in every way. They themselves did not take the time before receiving my money to find out who the lien holder of the car loan was and I have to sit here and wait for the seller, who already has my money by the way, to do things for me. I am disappointed, frustrated, and tired of all of this.In the end, I was left out of pocket and with a car that was not as described. It was a complete waste of $45,000, $2000 to ship the car, that in the contract was supposed to be covered by the seller, and I wouldn't recommend Escrow to anyone. Their unprofessionalism, lack of accountability, and overall terrible service make them a company to be avoided at all costs.

The service is incomplete. I purchased the escrow with lien services to assure that I would get legal title to a vehicle I was buying from out of state. Escrow.com does not require lien holder to release documents of ownership to it in exchange for funds. Thus, Escrow.com leaves open the back door for seller fraud. Precisely what an escrow is not supposed to do.

I am not sure how this company has an A+ rating, as they operate like a fraudulent and scam-oriented organization. They continue to change the requested information over and over under the guise of banking's Know Your Customer (KYC). Each representative has a different story, and I am concerned that they are building a file for identity theft for illegitimate purposes instead of performing their alleged purpose. I have asked for them to return my wire and I will not be completing the transaction. If you read this and still do business with them, good luck.Their website also said they were awarded a 2017 award for Ethics from the BBB - someone should investigate if this is legitimate from the BBB. I find this comically impossible because they have demonstrated poor ethics.

Total scam and fraudulent business practices. They will force the transaction to cancel by delaying or asking for more documents. When you give them the documents they will delay some more. Then they will deny the documents and not even tell you. The only way you find out is when you log in and see that the documents you uploaded are gone. Trying to get answers from them took a week and im still waiting for them to refund me. So yet they havnt even verified the transaction but when I try and cancel the whole process they now want to hold my money hostage. They respond way to slowly and you will be lucky to get more than one response a week. Its absolutely a scam company. I will definitely be taking any legal action I can and reporting this company to everyone.

Truly a terrible company Truly a terrible company. Super poor communication. Zero continuity. Call and you will get an "agent" from overseas whose English is marginal and who knows nothing about your transaction and has no ability to do anything other than record your call. Call again and you'll get someone else. Over and over. Dealing with a cell phone company is a absolute delight compared to dealing with these people. They claim to have a office in ************* but dollars to donuts you'll never speak to anyone in the **. They hold the escrow and do almost nothing else. Zero. There is no opportunity to resolve any problems that might occur in a given transaction and if you are the buyer they will hold onto you/ or your clients funds for a VERY long time (months) before they will release it. It is truly like talking to a wall. You will never get a chance to speak to any "supervisor". Even written correspondence is not taken seriously or followed up upon. This is NOT a REAL ESCROW. Not even close. True they are cheap but you get what you pay for and my client didn't even get cheap service. DO NOT USE THEM UNLESS YOU ARE 100% SURE THAT THERE WILL BE NO WRINGLES IN YOUR TRANSACTION. IF THERE IS EVEN A SLIGHT WRINGLE YOU WILL BE VERY SORRY.

This is a terrible, highly unprofessional and unresponsive company. DO NOT USE THEM!!!All agents are overseas and there is almost no continuity of service. Their fee appears cheap but you don't get what you pay for. I I've run a company for 42 years and I have rarely seen this lackadaisical and uncoordinated company. Once you put your money in if there is the slightest problem it will take you months to get it back. One suspects that they are making money on the interest and keeping you waiting waiting waiting waiting. Absolutely terrible.

After receiving customers funds, Escrow.com uses every stall tactic available to retain funds. Delayed my car purchase with every conceivable strategy, nearly costing us the transaction. **** never use again and think they should be investigated and face accountability for such bad faith behavior.

I bought a domain using Escrow.com. On their site, they state plainly that you credit card will be charged for a normal transaction, not a cash advance: https://www.escrow.com/support/faqs/are-credit-card-transactions-treated-as-cash-advances-or-purchases However, it came through on Citibank as a cash advance and had almost $100 of extra charges from them. Citibank claims it's entirely how the merchant codes the transaction. Escrow.com says they have nothing to do with it (despite the claim on their site that they do). Neither of them will talk to each other, they just claim it's the other side's problem.I had to dispute the charge to even get anybody to pay attention! Do not use this business.
