Checkr has destroyed my fulltime **** job by putting my background check into infinite delayed period of processing. The estimated time of completion given is unknown snd there is zero outlets for support. The delays are because they are seeking legal records in states and jurisdictions I have never been to. they are looking up records on someone else with same name and using it for my results. States and counties I have never been anywhere near. I will pursue further legal action if continued delays attributed to false report seeking.

Checkr provided an background check with incorrect info. They stated they were unable to verify employer, However I contacted the employer and they stated they never received a Employment verification for me from Checkr. Then the other company had name changes and they advised employment was not verifiable when *********** had a name changed and they couldve verified that by only calling the company and or a simple ****** ********* cause an offer to be rescoinded due to Checkr reporting incorrect info by not verifying the company name change. Also they were provided with W2 to verify employment and still didnt verify. Per company : *********** policy requires that all applicants must provide professional references and information concerning current and former employers. Although our third-party background check vendor, Checkr, verified some of the employment information you provided, gaps remain with your resume, and what was entered into Checkrs systems for verifications. As a result, we cannot offer you employment at this time and must rescind your offer of employment, effective immediately. Disparities include the following: *********** - 06/23-Present. I've encountered this company checkr before and voiced some concerns I seen that were unnecessary as well as null and void. The company seems to follow behind there own rules and blatantly uses bias actions to prevent candidates from having a fair chance at an opportunity. I've only been so upset this time cause I seen they again reported information that was over 22 years old!!! And even same way pass 7 years as well. Then you have no say in how they conclude and share your information which more then likely goes against the job opportunity at way. I'd like them to be reprimanded and fined and punish some how for not following the federal law. They've hurt many individuals that affects families and alot of times it's just business as usual for them but they are crossing lines and they have been just seems nothings ever done!!!!!if Pennsylvania has a certain guidldine which I know there are several that are new from two to three years ago that are still not being followed properly from this company!!!!!Business Response

CHECKR stated that my MVR was NOT accessible electronically which caused me to miss out of a number of employment opportunities. When in fact MY MVR records are accessible. I've reached multiple times and issue still hasn't beeb fixed. I believe it's a technical issue on their end . I applied for a position as a Crisis Interventionist with **************, located in **************, ********. I was given an offer. I was instructed by the employer to complete a background check with ********** on November 8, 2024. After a few days I emailed ********* on November 13, 2024 to voice my concerns about my background check taking so long. An earlier background check was completed by them and it only took 48 hours. My concern was that something is going wrong and the company is not being transparent about it. I was sent an automated email which stated most background checks take 3-5 business days. It is now November 15, 2024 and I have yet to hear from them. My potential employer informed me that they were waiting for information to come back from ******** OH. However, I have never worked or lived in ******** OH in my life. I attempted to contact ********* to report this inaccuracy. However, there is no way to contact them. On 11/12/2024 I ordered a personal background check on myself and the report is not showing my convictions and did a "County" search. I live in ** and the charges are more recent than 7 years so they should still show on the report. Website advertises complete background check. Once ordered, PDF provided does not contain adequate information to show that the candidate has been screened. The "detailed" report they've continually pointed me to only shows definitions of the types of report and does not detail actual clearances. I am rejecting this response because: the company is reaching out to ask for more informaiton as if I am the applicant for a job rather than the hiring party. Their customer service continually sends customers around in a circle without any actual action or resolution.Since Checkr did not provide complete services (and all communication with them is difficult), I had to purchase these elsewhere. A full refund is being requested in order to resolve this matter.

I had a routine background check run by my employer recently using Checkr. When the report came back, it had three incorrect pieces of information: wrong surname, wrong zip code, and an old ID listed as current as well as a current ID listed as a past one.The employer threatened to take adverse action against me and prohibited me to work further for them due to the discrepancy between the name on the report and the name in my ID.I went through the process to dispute and correct the information with both my employer and Checkr but no matter how many emails, calls, and contacts with support I made I was only given automated responses that wouldnt address the issue. Finally, I was sent an email informing me that the information they had was based off the my driving record based on the state my ID was in. They claimed that was *****. I have t had a Texas ID in years. All of my legal documents as well as drivers license reflect my current address, name, and state. Somehow they got the incorrect information, refused to explain how it was possible, and then I lost my source of income overnight.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because:They did nothing to fix the issue. They simply sent another automated message putting the onus on me to fix an incorrect surname in a background report. Funnily enough, there is no actual way to dispute an incorrect name in their system. But they keep redirecting me to the system. I have done everything I can in my end. The company who ordered to background check also wont do anything to fix the mistake and insist that its Checkrs responsibility. Checkr refers me to a page with no option to correct names or repeats the prompt from prior email answers.
Being that there is legal recourse aside from mere complaints in the case of a false information on a background report and results in lose of incomeI would encourage Checkr to get in direct contact with the company who requested the report and correct the issue.

My background check is paused, because they dont do manual background checks apparently. Ive been waiting to get to work and over a week of waiting for a computer program not doing its job.I have no criminal history or record. I have moved and verified my address and ***** glad this business can take their sweet time when I need to eat and pay bills. Checkr is taking 15 days to run a 4 day background check. They reply with AI generated responses, have no employees to talk to on the phone or over email. They dont reply to emails or chats. I am an American citizen with a clean record and they make up all kinds of reasons why. my background check is taking so long. I KNOW FOR A FACT this is made up answers because of being formerly employed at the company ****. The problem is not ***** it is CHECKR. They added additional information to my background check including an additional driver license number (Washington changed their driver licensing number system, hence the former and latter numbers) When contacted by chat and finally responding, they said they can't disclose which counties they are waiting on. I have only lived in 2 counties. What the ever loving h*** is going on? I lived in ***********, **************, and *************. PERIOD. Beware all customers who need a job, if ********************** is running your check, they are going to keep you waiting with no information and reply to you with AI generated platitudes about your status.
Desired outcome: Lost time, Lost wages (I used to work for ***** yet still waiting for a new background check)
