    I spent $2,000 on their Flex Headset and was extremely disappointed that it could not connect to their software. I tried to get their customer support by sending them videos as proof it was not connecting and that something faulty was going on. After an entire month of having poor service, they said they would refund me but require a 25% restocking fee. I then told them that this is false and their conditions on their website said if a device is "Dead on Arrival", I would receive a full refund. They have now ghosted me and when I tried to work with my bank to reverse the shameful charge, EMOTIV had the energy to not only ignore my simple refund request but to "prove" to the bank that I received the item and are now ghosting me to being able to return it. This entire interaction was the weirdest thing ever, and their company CEO is still constantly promoting their products on ******** claiming to be giving people EEG accessibility when in reality- that is far from it. I regret not going with Open BCI and even dealing with this company.

    I am writing to submit a formal complaint against [Company Name] concerning an unresolved issue related to an order with tracking number 1Z8X99970455799694. Despite repeated attempts to resolve the matter directly with the company, I have been met with a lack of response and cooperation.On 5.06 I communicated to Emotiv my wish to receive a partial, and subsequently a full, refund due to dissatisfaction with their service. Hours before the shipment notification was issued on 5.07, I explicitly requested a cancellation of the order and a full refund. Contrary to my directives, the shipment was expedited and sent out without my consent.Additionally, the order details indicate that the company proceeded to process the shipping of the package immediately after I requested a full refund, suggesting a deliberate disregard for my request. However, the actual package was not picked up by the courier until two days later, which clearly indicates that the shipment could have been stopped as per my request. This action demonstrates a willful intent to ignore my consumer rights and proceed with the shipment maliciously.I have sent multiple communications to Emotiv requesting the immediate halt of the shipment and processing of my full refund. However, my requests have been ignored, and my emails have remained unanswered. This lack of response has not only caused significant inconvenience but also substantial distress over the handling of my consumer rights.Moreover, all my attempts to communicate and resolve the issue have been completely ignored. I have received no response to any of my inquiries, and their official website lacks any option for processing refunds, only payments. This lack of a basic refund option is not only unreasonable but also infringes upon consumer rights by preventing customers from receiving refunds. This behavior is unacceptable and indicative of the company's disregard for fair customer treatment and transparency.Given the circumstances and the companys failure to respond or rectify the situation, I am compelled to seek assistance from the Better Business Bureau to facilitate a resolution. I request the BBB's intervention to ensure that the company adheres to fair business practices and addresses my complaint promptly.I look forward to your support in resolving this matter efficiently. Attached are copies of all correspondence with the company, along with the shipping and transaction details for your reference.Thank you for your attention to this issue.

    I purchased an *** machine to do several studies with. My studies require real-time analysis of the raw *** data that can be measured by the *** machine. emotiv's official website states that this is possible by using a specific subscribe software plan with support from emotiv through inquiries. I have confirmed this and purchased an *** monitor. However, when I contacted emotiv for that purpose after purchasing the *** machine, the first reply from them to my request asked me to elaborate on my affiliation and purpose. In response, I told them that I was a normal student, not affiliated with a company or a laboratory, and that my purpose was not commercial but for my own learning. However, I did not receive any reply. Thinking that my e-mail had not been received, I sent it again and again, and even started the same inquiry all over again, but when I told them about my affiliation and situation, I never received any reply. I guess they only provide such a function to some of the well-capitalized institutions such as research institutes and companies. However, the website does not mention such a feature, and it is written as if anyone can use the software with support, so I bought an *** scanner and as a result I cannot use it as much as I would like. Of course this is my own speculation, but if this is correct, then this would be a fraudulent practice. My distrust of the company has increased, and I request a full refund including shipping costs and customs duty for the time being.
