I am extremely disappointed with SeaWorld San Diegos handling of my annual pass. I purchased a pass in 2021, which I believed would expire in 2022. Since then, I have not visited the park or used any services, yet SeaWorld continued to charge me every year without my knowledge or permission. There were no notifications, no reminders, and no clear communication that my pass would automatically renew. I only discovered the ongoing charges recently, and when I contacted SeaWorld, they offered to refund just six months despite three years of unused, unauthorized charges. This is unacceptable. I feel taken advantage of, and SeaWorlds response shows a clear lack of accountability and customer care.

Do NOT purchase their annual passes, it is a RACKET!On the surface it very much seems like you are buying an annual pass. In reality, you are committing to 12 months of paying Seaworld for not just that years annual pass but they slip in having to pay for a second years annual pass as well. Surprise! On top of that it seems like you are going to get all these guest passes to bring friends and family. Not exactly... You get a date range to use passes in, use it or lose it and although there was supposed to be an extra guest pass, I still can't figure out where that "extra" pass is or how I use it. I'm actually on hold now with seaworld, hoping I can mitigate the damage. As I understood it I would only be paying $160 but now I'm realizing it is going to cost $330+. Hopefully I can at least cut my losses and cancel future charges. This is my experience for SeaWorld San Diego, maybe others are different but I imagine it's all the same.

This complaint to the Better Business Bureau is in regards to annual pass auto charges from Sea World San Diego without notification and against my knowledge of any charges taking place.Ticket #A5996...Ticket #A296I have 5 season passes. The 2 above were auto renewed on 11/11/2024 without warning and without notification once charges were applied. The other 3 passes bought at the same time didnt expire until 12/31/2024. SeaWorld San Diego charged my account $415.80 without notice or sending a receipt. When discovered on 12/09/2024 I repeatedly tried to fix this fraudulent charge but was unable to get ahold of anyone on phone for 5 days and when I was able I was told they would not refund unless it was only a few days after the charge, I was never notified of the charge to ********** family and I are military and are moving away from the area where I will have no opportunity to enjoy the park. I in no way intended on purchasing or using these passes as it would be geographically impossible to do so. This is a horrible financial situation for anyone to be under let alone a military member who is ordered to move away for locality. This product sold by SeaWorld was not authorized, even under the fine print of the contract due to CAs automatic renewal law requiring notification of any charges before they occur. I nor any member of my family intend to utilize the benefits.

We bought their annual pass as an add-on to Sesame Place. Never again.Saw a transaction on my credit card from Seaworld, I immediately logged into their account, canceled the EZ-Pay and requested to cancel the membership expecting to get a refund.Never got the refund, and customer service was not helpful stating I bought the pass for the next year and no refunds would be issued. There should be notifications, confirmation of renewal, or partial refund but none of these things were offered.Disputed the charges with our credit card company and it was promptly resolved. Will never support this organization again.

I bought passes last year for $262, for 2 passes. I kept looking on their website to see when they were going to charge me again, but it kept showing that they werent charging. Then I looked at my account and its not on my order history but on my credit card statement, they charged me $418.95 for the same exact passes. I never got an email or any sort of communication that they were charging me this amount. This is a total scam and completely unacceptable way to treat customers.

I would do 0 stars. Ive been arguing with Sea World for a few years trying to get a refund. Finally was told I was refunded but dont see the refund on my credit card. They never call you back, tsar they cant give you confirmation number of said refund or some kind of proof that they will reimburse. People lie and are disgusting

The fine print is deceiving and meant to trick consumers into continuing to pay for annual passes. My itemized transaction receipt clearly said authorization for 11 payments, but then buried in other fine print was that it would automaticaly renew and that I would have to CALL to cancel my membership. Online, when I thought i cancelled, it said "no passes to cancel" so I assumed it was cancelled. 9 months later and $23/month I had to call for them to cancel the passes, and they would only refund the current month amount, standing by their deceiving fine print. Don't be fooled by this tourist trap, PETA nightmare of a place.

Today when visiting the San Diego location, I had to pump breastmilk OUTSIDE at a sitting location where I found an outlet. I had to cover myself in the hopes that no one knew what I was doing; it was absolutely ridiculous that I was put in that situation. Prior to that moment of desperation, I went to three of their bathroom locations as directed by various crew members when I requested the nearest mothers room (side note- each employees response was similar: uh, Im not sure. I think theres one if you keep walking left). One of the bathroom locations didnt have a family room and the other two family rooms didnt have a working *********** of the non-working outlets also didnt have a face plate - so unsafe! In both of the bathrooms, even IF they did have a working outlet, I wouldve been forced to sit on the toilet while pumping. In fact, last time I was there in January, after asking a handful of employees if there was a private mothers room, I was pointed to the same family room and had to nurse my 5-week old baby while sitting on the toilet with a large amount of toilet seat covers to protect me. Not only is this unsanitary, but its uncomfortable and not inclusive to ****************.After 45 minutes of walking around trying to find a private place to pump breastmilk and asking several crew members, I finally was able to talk with a supervisor to explain my situation and I requested that I be able to use an employee area or managers office to please pump. She advised that wouldnt work because there wasn't any place she could think of that provided privacy. How horrible is that? Instead of working with me to provide an alternative solution, I was greeted with how she couldnt accommodate my needs. We are in a world where diversity, inclusivity, and equity are supposed to be celebrated, and I expected more from Sea World given that theyre a family attraction park.

My memberships were auto renewed two days before expiration date. When I asked to cancel the auto renewal, the park terminated my pass and told me that Im not allowed to enter in the park even though I should have two days to use the pass.
