1 starAbsolutely incompetent. I've been in the ** for 3 weeks, and have already had multiple issues with PetCo. First- food that was ordered for delivery on August 9th never arrived. The rest of my order did, but not the frozen food. Fine. I assume it was an error on the store's end because that food would have been kept in the freezer. Let it go. Got a refund. My dog needs to be on a prescription diet- and this is the major issue I've had. Since I just moved here, it took some time to get a prescription. Uploaded and ordered on August 20th. On August 21st I get an email at 7am to say my vet rejected it. I know that's a mistake as my vet wasn't open. So I uploaded again, and this time it gets approved- for shipping. This is Wednesday. It doesn't ship, but it's frozen so I figure it may not ship until Monday. Monday comes- not shipped. I call up. Find it's been stuck in the system (clearly the system sucks), and they cancel it. Fine. I go to order again, and see there's same day shipping available. I order FIVE packets (I get 7 refills apparently). Food comes. IT'S THE WRONG **** FOOD. Not prescription. I call up. Get a "replacement" sent, but it can't come to the next day. I change my mind and decide to do store pickup so I can check the food. By this point it's quite late, so I can't pickup to the next day. Fine. The next morning- at 6am- I get an email to say it's been picked up?! Call up. Guess what? ANOTHER F*CKING SYSTEM GLITCH. At this point throw your whole **** system out PetCo because it's clearly broken. They tell me it should be fine. Go into the store- and the order isn't on the system. Fortunately, the food WAS actually packaged the night before and they find it and give it to me but what the fk?!NOW I had 7 refills, and have only used FIVE. FIVE. It's showing in the system that I have NONE left. Another system glitch? I don't know. But I've been on the phone for over an hour now and no one can fix my issue apparently. 1 starI took my dog to Petco yesterday, Aug 22nd, to have her nails trimmed. This was 4:30pm central time. Petco is open till 6pm central time. Yeterday the groomers department was closed. The lady running the store register said they close early if they have finished grooming all animals that are scheduled. I ask that she have the groomers manager call me. The manager called me today, Aug 23rd. She said her employee's Mother passed away. As sorry as I am about the employee's loss, this is not my concern. Petco should have more people on staff to accommodate business and not close early. I am not so angry about this decision to close early. I am angry about how I was treated by the manager when she called me this morning. I asked if she could give me a free nail trim since I drove to Petco and was unable to trim ******** nails. She said she would talk to the store manager and call me back. She called me back and told me not to return to the store due to questioning her business ethics to have one employee on duty and for showing a lack of sympathy and then she hung up on me. Terrible customer service. I would like for ********************** to talk to this manager and tell her to never call a customer, get angry, raise her voice and then hang up on them. 1 starI have spent a lot of money with Petco and I bring my puppy often. Yesterday I had a terrible experience. I asked an associate where the vitamins were. She proceeded to walk me through the entire store then she started walking faster so I couldnt keep up then she walks to the front of the store and grabs her tablet and walked off without telling me where the vitamins were. Its as if she didnt care or was so preoccupied. I was very upset with this so I asked her again where the vitamins were and she ignored me. By this time Im asking where the manager is and she was close by and heard everything but she sent me to another associate who wasnt a manager and who couldnt not resolve the issue. I then asked for a real manager and was finally given one who helped with finding the vitamins. Im not sure where the disconnect was and why the original lady who is also a manager by the way was so rude to me. It put a bad taste in my mouth especially because my puppy was getting groomed there at that moment and we are loyal customers. It makes me not even want to go back to that location even though I live across the street.Review fromJolan S

1 starVital care offered a program of free office visits so I purchased a year program. 6 months later they say no now you have to pay for the visits. No compensation. Just cancel or live with it. Do not g buy their vet programs. Horrible to have gotten taken advantage by percolate who is reputable t associate with a vet program like these people. Vital care at petco. 1 starI recently had a very disappointing experience with the veterinary services at Petco's ****** location. My cat underwent unnecessary tests and procedures, leading to significant charges totaling $1,085.15 over just ten days.Visit Details:July 24th at Petco *********: A basic exam cost $75.00.July 30th at Petco ******: Despite informing the technician that I could only afford the $289 package, I was billed $482.58 for unnecessary tests, including $57.10 for drops.August 3rd at Petco ******: My cat was brought in for a follow-up for the $482.58 tests and was charged an additional $532.57 for another exam and more tests, plus another $57.10 for drops. This was my cat's third exam in ten days.These expenses ($1,085.15) were not only excessive but also unjustified, especially since my cat was misdiagnosed on July 30th.I requested a refund for the unnecessary tests on July 30th. I spoke with the Petco ****** store manager, *********************, who unfortunately was unwilling to assist or offer any partial refund. This lack of support and transparency is unacceptable.If Petco does not address this issue, I am prepared to escalate the matter to the Better Business Bureau and provide more detailed feedback online to warn other pet owners.I hope Petco takes this complaint seriously and works toward a fair resolution.Review fromEarl H

2 starsThought this would be an inexpensive, quick way to renew rabies vaccine - it was - 5 stars. Went for heat worm test July 20th - that part went well, but they don't ask if you need to renew heart worm and/or flea and tick Rx. I had to ask for Heartgard and they added that to their records [to be ordered through Chewy].I left the store but called them back immediately and Petco handed the phone to a Vetco employee. I advised, I had forgotten to add Simparica flea and tick and asked if she could do that for me - said yes, and I assumed all was well. Placed my order for both through Chewy - Heartgard came but not Simparica - it hadn't been added. Called Vetco customer service - basically - 'too bad - they couldn't do anything to help - make a new appt.' I did, earliest was 2 wks away - August 3rd. Met with Vet [no charge] and told her I needed 'Simparica'. Done - all I had to do was place the order with Chewy - Vetco sends me the ** Record several days later - Chewy has declined my order AGAIN, b/c Vetco had Rx'd not simply 'Simparica', but 'Siiparica Trio' [flea, tick and heart worm medicine] - Not what was asked for and clearly Heartgard had just been Rx'd on July 20 - so Trio was an inappropriate **. Each visit is about 20 miles RT. Called customer service at ********************** again - Complete Waste of Time - they have no authority, and cannot refer you to anyone that does. Recommendation - make another appt! No Thanks! Returned to my regular Vet and cleared the matter up with a single phone call. Petco Clinic vaccinations - good idea - anything more, be ready to 'lead with what you want' - short on experience and w/o ability to correct most any problem.Review fromEbony P

1 starThe store manager ****** should be ashamed of herself. My friend honestly had a very distasteful & quite disrespectful experience here yesterday. She not only resisted to provide customer service because she didnt want to be bothered and was currently not assisting any other customers. She rolled her eyes 3 times with an attitude, leading to a very unwelcoming feelingwhich is just sad. Then when she decided to attempt to help after seeking help from another employee due to ******* behavior.. after she led with an attitude and resisted to help when initially asked she ended up proceeding to hand over a bag of dog food, but INSTEAD DROPPED IT in his hands intentionally, practically throwing a 13 lb. bag of dog food with blatant DISRESPECT. ****** completely lacks care, empathy, respect and all the core customer service qualities needed. Please do not ask her for help to avoid receiving this kind of disappointing customer service. Save yourself the time and drive to another location for better service! 1 starVery disappointed with local instore return of your brand kitty litter that is defective. Extra dusty & pre clumpy. Returned to ********, MI store within a week, with a reciept & told it wasn't enough product to refund. I used to spend a lot of money there, not anymore! Zero stars!Review fromChris W

1 starVery immature and irresponsible management; will find any way to critique you and do not take urgent tasks that are crucial for their job responsibilities. HR is more of a support for management than for employees. Management is unorganized and all of their services have a bad reputation from customers for being a huge inconvenience and costly. All of the higher up managers only care about numbers and stats. I was told that someone discovered a couple mice that had been left in a closet for 3 days. Upon discovery, the mice were severely injured and required medical attention. As was told, the manager on site told the person who discovered the mice that they don't want go to the vet because they didn't want to drive. Ex-employees state that certain characters in management have a high temper and to ocassionally snap at employees. Now HR has continually turned a blind eye to straight up harassment committed by management. How has none of this been reported? Because there are people in HR and management who are related. Make what you will out of this but Petco is straight up shady and I believe operates unethically.
