This is a continuation of my original report . After writing saying how ********** did nothing to help my situation with my debt, they contacted me and offered me $700.00 , I declined and said that is not enough. They then offered me half of what I paid . I asked for a full refund . Which would be $3900 I know they were not a consolation company, but when signing up, they made it clear to me that they are the ones who help resolve the debt . And all I needed to do is what they guide me to do. There legal team totally dropped the ball, and when I spoke to them they said the gentleman I worked with in legal is no longer with the company.. I wonder why ! So Im looking for a full refund, I feel that all I did was pay monthly to a company that didnt do anything for me . Im now paying back more a lot quicker to pay off all the cards that filled lawsuits against me, I had to get a second job just to make ends meet and my credit is destroyed. I have contacted the attorney general and reported them . I asked for a full refund and was ignored . Half was not enough, and even the full amount isnt going to help, but at least I wont be out more money then i already am . THIS COMPANY SOUNDS GREAT IN THE BEGINNING, but BEWARE !Business Response

On September 7 2024 I signed up for a debt restoration program with Briteside Solution to help resolve my credit card debt. I pay ****** every month. During my consultation they told me that I could cancel my program and get a refund. Since I have started this program I have received one summons and have two more coming which I was never told about that could happen at the beginning of the program. I have not had one credit card settled in a year and was told that it should happen with some of them within six months. I feel that they are misleading people just to have their money. I am Senior citizen and can't afford to pay that kind of money with no results.Business Response

I signed up with Briteside Solutions for a consolidated loan. So far they have not stopped any of my debt. They told me not to mention their name to my collection. The collection calls come daily and Briteside told me they set me up with an appointment on October ******* and they will be providing me with a script. So Far they have taken my money for three months and have not helped me with anything.Business Response

Company promised to consolidate my debt, and fix my credit, but it made my credit worse resulting in judgements against me, and am unable to get credit with any company due to the fact that my credit score went down due to non payment which Briteside solutions informed me to do so, I am seeking a refund for the amount in my escrow account that my lawyer informed me that Briteside has been putting my money into to consolidate and reduce my debtBusiness Response

I was dealing with a difficult situation from an insurance company dragging their feet on a hurricane damage claim and had to borrow money and extend credit cards to cover repairs to a point I was having a difficult time paying all of them, but was. I reached out to Briteside and was advised and instructed to stop paying the loans, or cancel autopayments on all accounts and that ********************** would handle the accounts for a resolution based on their purported experience with all creditors, either in a reasonable settlement of a dispute of the debt preventing collection therein.I have paid in around 14K and have had collections hit my credit report, charge offs hit my credit report and now am facing a deluge of collection lawsuits on accounts I was instructed to stop paying on an allow them to default. The program also promised legal representation in the rare event a lawsuit occurred, but after I have received multiple summons and complaints that representation was non existent as I only had communication from the consumer law agency once and their non action would have resulted in multiple default judgments against me for whatever balance the collection companies sought in court had I not filed an answer PRO SE to at least represent myself.After I was served the first complaint Briteside refunded the amount that was paid into the program on it, via cancelling the remaining payments on the plan and returning the difference to my checking account. When the second complaint was served on me I was promised the same, but that never happened and with another complaint and possibly more in time I requested a full refund as all this service in essence provided was monthly communication and budgeting advice, it instructed me to default on seven accounts and now I am dealing with multiple lawsuits and facing possible non favorable settlements, or full judgments and have had to spend time away from work to deal with the suits.I have reached out to Briteside three weeksBusiness Response

I hired Briteside Solutions to handle my debt. They told me to stop paying any and all of my credit cards and loans and that they would be discharged and I would be debt free. Well that was not the case. They wrote letters disputing the debt but it did not work. All the loans have now sued me and all the credit card debt is at collections. When one sued me while they were still helping me they said their legal team would help but I waited and no one helped. I was upset and distraught but that did not seem to matter to them. If I wanted to deal with it myself they would take it out of the program. This is false advertising and put people in worst shape when starting the program. They take your money ******** every month for their service fee not even to settle debt but to get you in further trouble. I want my money returned.Business Response

I was told that they would help resolve my credit card debt, I was told to pay them a set fee based on the debt I had which after 1 1/2 years if I paid them my debt would be gone. In the wording the agent had given it seemed as if it was a consolidation service, I was told not to make any payments on any of my cards and if I got a letter to send it to them and they would handle any debt. Everything appeared to be for debt consolidation, they even put a loan on my credit which had in it's name "consolidation" for the amount I owed in Credit Cards, then when I started looking into it, over a 6 months into my payments, I found out it wasn't a consolidation service and that they weren't helping me pay anything, just taking my money to send a simple dispute letter to the creditor which is online for free. I am the only person working and my husband is on Soc Sec and I feel targeted since I was paying out over $270 a month and struggling to pay it only to find out nothing was done for my credit, I wasn't even provided any informational services which apparently is all they offer as per their website. I talked to ****** who was the credit counselor and asked her a few questions she was probably the one that got me into debt and that it was essentially stupid for me to not read the contract and that I should have read what I was going to sign. I don't even remember signing anything, it was just a few checkboxes. she went on to tell me it was a bad decision to pay off my debt as I was going to "give the banks more of my money" and stating that several of the things they were doing which was against the Consumer Protection Act that the business is based off of. This whole business needs to be seriously investigated because even though it has the consumer Act on their website no one working there has any idea about it and are actively going against it I asked them to disenrolled me and was hung up on several times. I am filing a complaint against Briteside Solutions for deceptive business practices, misleading information, and failure to deliver promised services regarding their credit repair program, potentially violating federal and state consumer protection regulations.I enrolled in Briteside Solutions credit repair program, paying over $4000, expecting assistance in resolving and improving my credit. However, the services provided left me in a worse financial situation. I now have collections on my credit report, severely affecting my credit Additionally, I am facing multiple lawsuits and now need to pay back all disputed accounts, costing me thousands.I believe Briteside Solutions engaged in deceptive and misleading practices. They misrepresented their ability to resolve my credit issues, resulting in significant financial harm. Their failure to deliver on their promises constitutes a breach of contract and deceptive business practices under consumer protection laws, specifically the Credit Repair Organizations Act. I feel scammed by this company. They promised to improve my credit, but instead, I am left with more debt and unresolved collections. I am extremely dissatisfied with the service provided and the false promises made by Briteside Solutions.I am seeking a full refund of the $4682 paid to Briteside Solutions for their credit repair services. I also request they take immediate action to remove the disputed accounts from my credit report and correct any negative marks they caused.I hope the BBB can assist in resolving this matter. We disagree with what the client has accused Briteside of doing. We are very diligent with the enrollment process and specifically ask clients at the end of each enrollment their understanding of the program before finalizing the enrollment call. We have never misrepresented our program as a debt settlement, debt consolidation or a credit repair program. Paid over 600 a month to supposedly get debt disputed only to now be being sued by companies that were supposed to be fully disputed. The woman who called me just lept telling me how they could still help me if I came back. I asked her if they could refund my money she said no. Told her I guess maybe I should get a lawyer because I felt robbed she told me they did nothing wrong. Finally I told her I was working and didn't have time to talk to her and would rather not speak to her asked to have someone else call and speak to me because I was already irritated and was at work. This client canceled in December 2023. This client is now angry because he is getting contacted by creditors regarding payment. As previously stated, we were not able to complete our work on his accounts and have no control what happens to an account once a client cancels. The lady who called just kept trying to get me to come back and didn't want to hear any of my frustrations about being sued by multiple people on account they said qere fully disputed . So I hung up on her after asking to talk with someone else and she declined.
