    I sent a $36.07 check for ***** negatives to be developed into 4 X 6 colored photograghs but I realized and I contacted them regarding canceling my order because my girlfriend said that we shouldn't of cut the negatives up into separate pieces and that The Darkroom might not be able to develop them so I contacted them to cancel the order before they had even received the Mailer with my check and pieces of negatives cut up into tiny pieces but they emailed me back asking for an order # and they stated I never sent in a request but I told them to cancel it once they received it and I did finally speak w/someone from their customer service team who told that they would cancel but within the last two days on December 6th and 7th they contacted me again saying that my order was processed and I was at that point low of funds in my bank account so I had to cancel my other orders I placed w/online companies which has stuck in a difficult situation. They don't have a phone number to contact them and their customer service wasn't willing to work with me to fix the problem. I want a refund.

    I submitted an order to The Darkroom (DR) via mail on or about February 2021 for the development of three single-use cameras, 3 mini cassettes and one 8mm film (Invoice #******), order total $134.28. I received an invoice from The Darkroom (DR) a week later stating I did not fill out my order properly, in which they provided the description of my order as mentioned here. The final invoice was $184.31. In mid-March, I received my order, three sets of prints from the single-use cameras, two CDS of the converted mini cassettes (which should have been three CDs but they decided to clump two cassettes in one CD). Oh, and I also received a yellow 8mm roll which was clearly not mine (mine was blue). I then realized the film that was converted was not my family film. I quickly notified DR and they said they would look into the mix up and that they would send me an prepaid envelope to return the film. A week later or so I contacted them again because I still had not update, nor an envelope. They quickly sent me an envelope which I promptly returned to DR. From March to May I kept asking about my film. This film was recorded in the 1970s and the converted film was going to be a gift to my mom for her 75th birthday on April 5th. I was so dissapointed that our family would not get to see this film. It took two months of me following up with DR (not once did DR follow up with me about any update on my missing 8mm film), they simply washed their hands and refunded me $38, the cost of the film conversion plus I am guessing tax included. My 8mm film was never returned and two months of me following up, I get a $38 refund! I placed 100% trust that my 45 year old family film was going to be developed as indicated in my order. My film was obviously lost in the care of DR, but they are simply washing their hands based on their limited liability clause, which is ridiculous.
