May 5th 2022, ** ******* asked for 50% upfront to begin construction on a pool home. I did not know at the time 10% is the limit per ********** law. The contract states 3 weeks duration for completion. It was 2.5 months when I fired him on July 16th 2022. He's then refused to and ignored emails and phone texts/calls to receive my refund for subpar work, leaving the site full of hazardous materials after they actually worked. He begins to tell me I have to pay for labor for incomplete work. Leading to a refund of only **** dollars out of ****** dollars (50% given upfront) His website also doesn't show his license number and has refused to give me that information and his bond information. The things I am entitled to. I have tried searching under ********** state license board and am led to believe he is portraying to be a licensed contractor. He also refused to give me the blueprint plan to build and permits. Photos attached show damages to the building, driveway full of spray paint, and subpar work. The only thing almost completed was the roof shingles. The old spinning roof vent was supposed to be removed and patched but it was not. Each day they actually worked, my wife and I had to clean up after them, leaving nails and rubble everywhere, inside of our pool costing us more time and money. Luckily our dogs weren't injured. When I asked for a fair amount of **** dollars that was before the penalties and more money I had to spend to fix the mistakes and damages Mr ******* refused to fix. If I am able to get the full amount and allow others to not be fooled by this "company," this would be sufficient.
