Rigos Delivery and Moving Company agreed to move our home furnishings from *******, ******* to *********, ** from Nov 28 to Dec 15. They ignored all our phone calls, and delivered our furnishings on December 29, 2022. For two weeks we slept on the floor. Many items were broken and missing from our furnishings, estimated work, $2500. The moving people did not read or understand English, and therefore did not know what "Fragile" meant on the boxes. A bookshelf was totally destroyed, worth $200. Our InstaPot was damaged, worth, $500, many broken picture frames and glass. Then when they showed up to deliver, they had to rent a U-haul for $900. because their truck was too big to come through the complex gate, which we had to pay before they would start to unload our furnishings. Many items were brought into our house which we refused because they did not belong to **. Just another point to confirm our furnishings were missing.

    Hello *******************,

We are very sorry you feel this way, we know moving can be a very stressful situation and we are regretful that our service was not satisfactory. Your household goods were picked up on 12/01/2022 and you wrote your 1st available delivery date was 12/13/22. On the estimate and paperwork you signed it states **************** (S.S.) period is up to a maximum of thirty business weekdays, not including storage time, beginning on the first date indicated as available for delivery (not the date of pickup). The date indicated as 1st available for delivery is the first date of the delivery window and not the promised delivery date. Per ******************* rate is $30.00 (thirty dollars) per business weekday. Business days do not include holidays or weekends. Unless P.G.S. is purchased, the estimated delivery period is up to thirty business days from the date indicated as first available for delivery. In the signed paperwork was also the shuttle terms that are as follows: **************** if a semi-trailer cannot get reasonably close to the building or house for loading/unloading, a shuttle truck may be required to perform relocation at a minimum charge of $300. Our staff are properly trained to handle household goods and know what "fragile" mean, all of your items were packed by owner and were not packed properly if you had broken items. At additional cost we provide platinum packing to ensure your items are properly packed for long distance transit however, you declined this service. In addition to this, you did not call ** to tell ** you had damages. Had you done so we would have taken appropriate and timely action to resolve this matter with you. You would have been provided with a claim form. Please keep in mind shippers have 9 months starting on the delivery date to file a claim. Since you were delivered in December, you are still within the window to file a claim. I will attach a copy of the form. We would be more than happy to get this issue resolved and pay your claim once it is processed.

I am rejecting this response because: "Our staff are properly trained" If your staff was properly trained, we would not have experienced broken furniture, which was packaged and wrapped by your team. The boxes were smashed in by your moving company, they were in perfect condition when picked up. Rigos Moving and Storage is responsible for thousands of dollars of broken and abused household items. Rigos also said they could deliver to our new address, but then held our items hostage until we agreed to pay them an additional $900 for a smaller truck. We were lied to multiple times. I suppose we will get a lawyer, and *** them in court for negligence. The teakwood bookshelf alone, which they wrapped and packaged alone is worth $2000.

    Sincerely,
