I have AHS (American Home Shield) home warranty and had an issue with my garage door opener not working properly. In June 2022, I made a claim with AHS and *********************** was assigned to repair or replace my garage door opener. I spoke with *********************** by phone to set up an appointment time for them to come out and was told the ******************* now requires garage door openers to have a battery back up which in their experience with American Home Shield would not cover the battery back up cost and I would have to pay $250 out of pocket to them before they would do any work (on top of the $100 service fee I had to pay to American Home Shield). On June 14, 2022 I paid *********************** the $250 by credit card (see attached receipt). I then called American Home Shield and was advised by them they would pay the additional cost and they would contact *********************** and I should not have been charged $250. About two weeks later, *********************** responded and replaced my old garage door opener with a new one.I have repeatedly called ***********************, have sent them numerous emails and usually spoke with ********* who confirmed that I would get a refund to my credit card but only the owner could do it. As of today December 25, 2022 I still have yet to receive any refund. Can you please help me get my $250 credited back to my credit card?
