I am a case manager and I brought a client in with $150 visa card for the year membership at Planet Fitness in Oxnard, CA. We met with the manager Humberto who said we could do this, but he had to have a routing and checking number for the account. Being that I care about my clients I was willing to give my own checking and routing number, because Humberto promised me I wouldn’t get charged we just needed the numbers to create the account. On November 17 I was charged $25 and on December 17 I was charged $25. I went into the store and talked with Humberto in which he told me I would get a refund in 10 days. I waited through the holidays and yesterday was day 10 and I still don’t have a refund. I called back the store and they told me that my client does not have a year membership paid in full and that my credit card is the only one on file. I think Humberto stole the card because he sent us away at the end of the transaction saying that it would take up to 30 minutes for the account to be created and we could leave and he would call us to let us know the account was set up. we were foolish and I see that mistake now but I want my $50 back. I keep calling the store but they say he’s not there and he’s on vacation and they don’t know when he’s coming back. I find this highly acceptable especially during the holidays when I was just trying to help someone who’s down on their luck. I really hope this message gets through to someone that has a heart.
