      I recieved a call from Stafford Group Associates claiming to have an urgent matter and something to collect, I dont owe any debt to them. They are rude ! And they called my dad as well. They need to not call me or my family members anymore and they can send whatever it is in the mail! They tried to claim the would do something as a lien on my house and was threaten. So so not contact me anymore.

      We have received the complaint sent in by the consumer. Unfortunately we must deny the allegations being made about our company. We are well versed in the ***** and other state and local collection regulations. We absolutely obey and adhere to all collection laws governed by the ********************************************************** and the Attorney General. Our records indicate that we did attempt to reach the consumer, but were unsuccessful in doing so. We did not make any contact with the consumer therefore we must deny their claims that our company threatened them. We believe they have confused us for a different company attempting to reach them in regards to a different account. Per their request, we will cease communication with the consumer. If the consumer would like any information regarding their account in our office, they will need to contact our office directly.

We have requested the validating documents for this account. Once they are received by our office, we will forward them to the consumer for their review.       I honestly dont get why STAFFORD GRP is reporting this debt under my name because I dont owe them anything. I never signed anything with them, and when I asked for a copy of the original application, they didnt even bother to provide it. Its frustrating because this is hurting my credit for no reason, and its just not fair. How can they just put something on my report without any proof?Account No: 1400 Amount Disputed: $2,066

      The basis for my dispute Stafford Group and Associates,Mr. ********* ********, President,STAFFORD GROUP AND ASSOC,19....,$2,695 - was required to notify me prior to 04/01/2024, or no later than 30 days after. STAFFORD GROUP AND ASSOCfailed to notify me about reporting derogatory info. to Equifax, Experian, and Transunion In section 603(p) 15 U.S.C. ss 168s-2(a)(7)(A)(I); The notice required under subparagraph (A) shall be provided to the customer prior to, or no later than 30 days after 04/01/2024, furnishing the negative derogatory information to a consumer reporting agency described in section 603 (p), 15 U.S.C. ss 1681s-2(a)(7)(B)(I). Plus broke commercial law under *** ***** that all notices were timely and properly given by dated certified mail receipt. They were not met. I asked for documentation & received no response. Also, STAFFORD GROUP AND ASSOC" failed to give me my "Mini-******** five days prior to placing this derogatory item on all of my credit reports, per Section *************** 809, which is $1000 per violation and the state of Texas allows treble damages.Under 809. Validations of date and Mini-******* under Section 807(1)Stafford Group and Associates,Mr. ********* ********, President failed to send me my initial communication before placing this alleged derogatory status on my credit reports further violating the ****, I understand that according to the Fair Credit Reporting Act, failing to provide this notice can result in a penalty up to $2500 and can be enforced by the ***, and that my state attorney general can also enforce this with a $1000 penalty as well.I attached a copy of the law and the actual document from the federal reserve STAFFORD GROUP AND ASSOCis held liable as well for defamation and in the state of Texas a creditor is who collects their on debt is considered a debt collector under FDCPA. ***** v. Heard 980 S.W.2d693(Tex.App-San ******* 1989 reh.den.) citing ****** v. ***** 936 S.W.2d 654(Tex.App-****** 1996)

Our records indicate that we have only contacted the numbers on the account once on 03/17/25 in attempt to reach the consumer in regards to this matter. If the consumer is receiving other phone calls, we believe they may have us confused for someone else. Per their request, we will cease communication with this account. If the consumer would like to further discuss this matter, they may contact our office directly.
