I recently reviewed my credit report and was surprised to find addresses where I have never lived, accounts I have no knowledge of, and inquiries that I did not authorize. I have contacted the creditors to inform them of these discrepancies.

Additionally, I discovered an account that I believe does not belong to me:
      Account Name: MONTEREY COLLECTION SV
      Original Creditor: Classic Firearms
      Account Number: 503695044
      Date Opened: 02/18/2022
      Balance: $3,081

I am not responsible for this debt, and I do not have any contract with:
      Company: MONTEREY COLLECTION SV
Address: 4095 Avenida de la Plata, Oceanside, CA 92056
      Phone Number: (877) 775-3091

Attached to this complaint are the FTC Affidavit, a dispute letter sent to this company, and my authorization for the release of information. I have also filed complaints with the CFPB.

I request that this account be removed from my credit report immediately. If you have any questions or need further information, please contact me at 1526 Standridge St, Memphis, TN 38108, or via email at [email protected]. I look forward to your prompt response.

I tried to setup a payment plan with my medical supply provider and they sent me to Monterey Financial. I had recurring payments setup through my HSA account but in July wanted to get this paid off so phoned Monterey Financial and requested my HSA account be removed for payments and provided them with my personal credit card information. Everything was fine until on September 2 they charged both my credit card and HSA for the same amount, thus not only paying the full amount due on the account but overpaying the account by almost $200! I immediately requested reimbursement for their error and was told it would be processed in **** days and I would be receiving written and emailed notice of the account closure and reimbursement. I have received nothing! No notice, no reimbursement!

In regards to the received complaint,

***************************** contacted Monterey Financial Services, LLC on 6/14/2022 and left a voicemail requesting a return phone call as she needed to updater her HSA card information that Monterey had on file. We returned her phone call the same day, 06/14/2022, where ****************** provided her updated HSA card information and authorized a one-time payment of $310.55 to be drafted on 7/01/2022. During this phone call, ****************** also authorized automatic recurring payments to be drafted in the amount of $200.00 on the 1st of each month beginning 8/01/2022. In her complaint, ****************** states she contacted Monterey Financial in July and requested that we stop using her HSA card for payments. However, We have no record of any phone calls from ***************** in the month of July 2022. On 8/01/2022, ****************** visited Montereys website and scheduled a one-time payment of $192.11 using her debit card, and also authorized recurring automatic payments using the same debit card to begin drafting automatically on 09/01/2022 in the amount of $184.11. ****************** is correct in stating that on 09/01/2022, Monterey Financial drafted 2 payments from her, with one payment being drafted from her debit card she provided via our website and the second payment being her previously authorized HSA payment. As both of these payments were authorized by ******************, they were drafted accordingly. ****************** contacted our office on 09/16/22 and explained she did not intend to make 2 both of those payments, and Monterey Financial Services provided a refund to Ms. ******** HSA card in the amount of $199.97 on 09/19/2022. We would like to apologize for any frustration ****************** has experienced regarding this situation, and we encourage her to contact our office at toll free ************** with any further questions she may have regarding her account.

      Thank you,

      *************************
